A man identified as Adnan aka Ballu allegedly murdered a woman in Uttar Pradesh's Bulandshahr. In his confession, the man said that he killed his girlfriend over deception. A video of the man is going viral, where he confessed to the murder and said, "Mohabbat me dhoka diya...dhoka dene ki saza sirf maut."
Ballu further said he killed the woman by slitting her neck with a knife. He said he is a fan of Sanjay Dutt. He added that the character of Ballu played by Dutt in 'Khalnayak' is his favourite.
Adnan's confession came a day after the woman named Asma's body was found in a graveyard in Khurja of Bulandshahr district. It was alleged that the woman left her husband and was living with Adnan. But, Adnan suspected her of having an affair with another person which is why he killed her.&nbsp;

A 30-year-old man gunned down 12 of his relatives Saturday in a remote rural area in southeast Iran, the deadliest shooting reported in decades.
Head of the justice department of the province of Kerman, Ebrahim Hamidi, told the semiofficial ISNA news agency the gunman opened fire on his father, brother and other relatives early morning in a village because of family disputes.
The report, which did not identify the assailant, stated he used a Kalashnikov assault rifle.
Local media report on occasional shootings, but this attack has had the highest death toll in Iran, where citizens are only legally allowed hunting rifles, common in rural areas.
In 2022, an employee, who was dismissed from a state-owned financial conglomerate, opened fire at his former workplace, killing three people and injuring another five before killing himself in the country's west. In 2016, a 26-year-old man shot 10 relatives in a rural area in the south of Iran.
In recent years, violence has spiked in the country suffering from deteriorating economic conditions coupled with crushing American sanctions that helped spark soaring inflation and increasing unemployment.&nbsp;

India&rsquo;s external affairs ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal doused fire on claims that India-origin students were being targeted in the US. The MEA representative said that the five killings reported this year were not interconnected.
&ldquo;There are 5 Indian students who have died...that also includes students from India diaspora. 2 are India nationals and rest 3 are of Indian origin but US nationals,&rdquo; Jaiswal said in a press conference on February 8.
The MEA spokesperson also clarified that there was no &ldquo;foul play&rdquo; in the killing of Shreyas Reddy, who was found dead in Ohio&rsquo;s Cincinnati. However, India still awaits the final medical reports provided by US authorities.
Last month, 25-year-old Indian student Vivek Saini was hammered to death by a homeless drug addict in Georgia. Syed Mazahir Ali, pursuing a Masters in IT, was brutally attacked by unidentified men near his house in Chicago.

A 26-year-old woman, employed with an IT major, has been shot dead allegedly by her boyfriend in Maharashtra&rsquo;s Pune district, the police said on Sunday.
The boyfriend, identified as Rishabh Nigam, was apparently upset that victim Vandana Dwivedi had started avoiding him recently, they said.
The incident took place at a lodge in the Hinjawadi area of Pimpri Chinchwad on Saturday and the police got the information on Sunday morning, they said.
According to a senior police official, Nigam was apprehended in Mumbai. He has been arrested under Indian Penal Code section 302 (murder) and Arms Act.
Police said Nigam and Dwivedi, both hailing from Uttar Pradesh, were in a relationship since 2013. She worked in a big IT firm in Hinjawadi, while her boyfriend lived in UP.
Nigam was apparently miffed as the deceased had started avoiding him recently, the official said.
&ldquo;A couple of years ago, he was beaten up back in their hometown, and he suspected the deceased&rsquo;s role in that assault,&rdquo; said Deputy Commissioner of Police Bapu Bangar.
Nigam had come from UP and checked in at the lodge on January 25.
&ldquo;The next day, the deceased joined him. As per preliminary information, on Saturday night, he shot the woman and fled. We learnt about the incident this morning,&rdquo; said Bangar.
CCTV footage at the lodge showed Nigam leaving the premises on Saturday night.
The man has been arrested, and further investigations, including the exact motive and from where procured the firearm, are underway, the official added.

Hours after ex-model Divya Pahuja was shot dead in a Gurugram hotel, police responded to a call and visited the hotel and returned after checking room number 114, while the body was lying in another room, police sources said Friday.
The 27-year-old woman was taken to Hotel City Point on Tuesday by five people and allegedly shot dead inside room number 111, they said.
While Divya&rsquo;s body is yet to be recovered, on Friday, a three-member Special Investigation Team (SIT), which will be led by ACP crime Varun Dahiya, was formed to probe the case, police said. The team will work under the supervision of DCP Crime Vijay Pratap Singh.
According to the sources, the main accused hotel owner Abhijit Singh revealed that Divya was shot dead in the hotel at 5 pm on Tuesday.
He called Anup, to whom the hotel was given on lease, for help but Anup informed the police about the murder at 9 pm, they said.
After getting information, police reached the spot and returned after checking room number 114 while Divya&rsquo;s body was lying in room number 111, the sources said.
Taking advantage of this, Abhijit asked his friends Balraj Gill and Ravi Bandra for help in disposing of the body. In a CCTV footage, Abhijit can be seen fleeing the hotel in a blue BMW car with Divya's body in the boot, they said.
Later, Anup again called the police at 11 pm on which the police took a serious note. After examining the CCTV footage, the murder was revealed but by then the suspects had fled with the body.
The footage shows the suspects, including Abhijit, purportedly dragging her body wrapped in a white sheet through the hotel lobby to the BMW car, police had said.
The BMW car was found abandoned at a bus stand in Punjab&rsquo;s Patiala, however, the former model&rsquo;s body is yet to be recovered, the Gurugram Police said in a statement on Thursday evening.
Till now, Abhijit, Hemraj and Omprakash have been arrested while two others, including Gill, are still at large, police said.
Sandeep Gadoli, a dreaded gangster from Gurugram, was killed in a shootout in Mumbai on February 6, 2016. Later, the Mumbai police said Gadoli had been lured into a trap with the help of his "girlfriend" Divya and killed in a fake encounter.
Virendra Kumar alias Binder Gujjar ran a rival gang and allegedly conspired with Haryana Police officials to eliminate Gadoli. Gujjar was in prison at the time of the encounter, but he hatched the conspiracy with the help of his brother Manoj and roped in Divya as a honey trap.
An FIR was registered against five police personnel, Divya, her mother and others.
The Bombay High Court had granted bail to Divya in June last year, about seven years after she was arrested.
Police are probing the case from three angles &ndash; blackmail, roles of gangster Gadoli's family, and Gujjar&rsquo;s involvement.
DCP Crime Singh said the revelations made by Abhijit are being verified and he is also being interrogated about Divya.
Abhijit claims that he killed Divya because she was blackmailing him, he said.
"We are also interrogating Hemraj and Om Prakash and trying to connect the entire sequence of events that took place on January 2. Divya's mobile has also been sent to Diatec Lab for testing,&rdquo; the DCP said.
&ldquo;Our teams are continuing to raid suspect places and hope the body of the deceased will be recovered soon,&rdquo; he said.&nbsp;

Accused Aditya Dev Pathak was arrested on Thursday and a country-made pistol was recovered from him, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (East) Syed Ali Abbas said.
"We received information that a woman -- Nishtha (23) -- was brought dead to hospital during the early hours of Thursday," he said.
Nishtha, a native of Hardoi, was a third-year student at a private university. She came in contact with Pathak on social media, police said.
&ldquo;On Wednesday, Nishtha went to Pathak&rsquo;s rented apartment in Chinhat police station area. An argument broke out between them following which he shot her,&rdquo; the officer said.
Pathak later took Nishtha to a hospital and fled from there after leaving her. On finding that she had succumbed due to a gunshot injury, the hospital staff police, he said.

The husband, identified as Nitin Nath Sinha, wanted to sell their bungalow in Noida&rsquo;s Sector 30. He also reportedly took a token amount from a potential buyer, NDTV reported citing police officials.

All four men charged in the murder are in their early 20s. Another individual who reportedly aided an offender was released on bail.
&ldquo;Our thoughts are very much with the family and friends of Aurman at this difficult time,&rdquo; said Detective Chief Inspector Mark Bellamy, senior investigating officer at West Mercia Police.
&ldquo;Our investigation is underway with officers carrying out a number of enquiries to establish the circumstances that led to Aurman&rsquo;s murder. We know Aurman was a delivery person, however at this stage we do not believe this was the motive for his death and we are not investigating this as a robbery,&rdquo; he said.

The girl had reportedly rejected a romantic proposal from Kamble. He was taken to the hospital and faces charges of murder and attempt to suicide.
Before attacking the minor, Kamble reportedly pushed her mother aside. The girl, who was stabbed at least eight times, later died after being rushed to the hospital.
The girl was returning home from her regular classes when the incident happened. Her mother accompanied her and called out for help during the attack.
While the investigation is still on, police officials have bagged the murder weapon as evidence.

According to media reports quoting officials, Khan, a Nagpur resident and BJP minority cell member, had gone to Jabalpur on August 2 to meet Sahu who she had married four months ago, but went missing the same day.&nbsp;
The family members of Khan filed a complaint against Sahu, suspecting him to be behind the disappearance of their daughter.
Following the complaint, police arrested Sahu, who during the interrogation, confessed to killing Khan.
According to the initial investigation, the couple had a fight over a gold chain and money that Khan gifted to Sahu at the time of the court marriage, police said. However, police are further interrogating Sahu and trying to recover the body, said the ASP.
&nbsp;Amit Sahu was previously married to a policewoman they were separated,&rdquo; police added.

On March 13, a case was registered against an unidentified person at Cantt. police station for the murder of Sudeshna, the wife of Army jawan Manoj Senapati, Additional Superintendent of Police (City) Rahul Bhati said.
During the investigation, the police team examined footage of CCTV cameras installed in the area. On the basis of the footage, Nitish Pandey, also an Army jawan and the victim's neighbour, was arrested on Thursday with the help of military police, he said.
Pandey's wife was in an illicit relationship with Senapati, Bhati said.
Senapati was also in possession of some objectionable pictures and videos of Pandey's wife and was using them to blackmail her, the SP said.

On March 13, Pandey went to Senapati's house and found his wife Sudeshna there. The accused asked Sudeshna to call Senapati and ask him to delete his wife's pictures and videos. This angered Sudeshna and she started an argument, the police said.
During the argument, Pandey took a khukri from his bag and repeatedly attacked Sudeshna on her neck and other body parts. Later, he washed his hands and kept the khukri in his bag before dumping it, the accused told police.

A man from Uttar Pradesh's Gorakhpur has been arrested for killing his father and chopping his body into pieces allegedly over a monetary dispute, according to an India Today report.&nbsp;
Police said Prince Gupta slit his father Madhur Gupta's throat with a sharp weapon, beheaded him and cut the body parts to fit them into a suitcase after he refused to lend him money.
The incident from the intervening night of March 11 and 12 was reported by the accused 's brother Prashant Gupta, the report added.
Prashant got a complaint registered against his brother after finding traces of blood at their home. He told police that he saw Prince leaving the house without informing him and the trolley bag in which body parts were kept was also missing.
Police said the accused Prince also confessed to having committed the crime. &nbsp;"Had my father given me money, I would not have killed him," Prince said in his confession as per the India Today report.
The report added that the deceased's body parts have been recovered and the accused has been booked under the relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code.

The two victims were allegedly abducted by cow vigilantes on February 15 and their bodies were found in a charred car in Loharu in Haryana's Bhiwani the next day. The family members of the deceased had named five men in their complaint to the police.

Father of Sahil Gehlot, accused and partner of Nikki Yadav who was allegedly killed and her body stuffed in a fridge in outer Delhi was arrested earlier by police in connection with another murder case, NDTV reported on Monday.
The startling revelation comes after the police took Sahil, his father Virender to the dhaba where Nikki's body was stored to recreate the crime scene, the report said citing police sources.&nbsp;
Suspecting Sahil's father's involvement in the case, the cops interrogated his father and cousins and found their statements contradicting what Gehlot had said.&nbsp;
On Sunday, Delhi Police took Sahil Gehlot to the Arya Samaj Mandir in Greater Noida where he and Nikki Yadav had solemnised the marriage.&nbsp;
The police have so far arrested Gehlot, his father and four others -- two cousins and two friends -- in connection with the case.&nbsp;

In a horrific case, a man murdered his wife's lover and allegedly chopped his body in several pieces in Uttar Pradesh's Ghaziabad, according to NDTV.
As per the report, the accused Meelal Prajapati found out about his wife's involvement with a man named Akshay who had visited Meelal's home when he was away. Akshay spilled hot tea on Meelal's daughter's feet due to which she suffered burn injuries, the report said quoting a police official.
As Meelal took his daughter to the hospital, he asked his wife to call Akshay for help with the house chores. After Akshay arrived, Meelal slit his throat and chopped his body to hide evidence, the report added.

A murder offence may attract death penalty or imprisonment for life and fine. "In the Sultanpuri incident, after collection of physical, oral, forensic and other scientific evidence, the police has added Section 302 IPC in place of section 304 IPC. "Further investigation in the case is in progress," Sagar Preet Hooda, Special Commissioner of Police (Law and order) said.
This move comes a day after the Delhi Police told a sessions court that it will invoke section 302 of the Indian Penal Code in the case.

Anjali Singh (20) was killed in the early hours of the new year day after her scooter was hit by a car, which dragged her for more than 12 kilometres from Sultanpur to Kanjhawala.
Police had arrested Deepak Khanna (26), Amit Khanna (25), Krishan (27), Mithun (26), and Manoj Mittal in the case on January 2.
Later, they zeroed in on Ashutosh, who was arrested four days later. Another accused Ankush had surrendered on Friday and was released on bail the next day.
Anjali's parents and relatives had also staged a protest outside the Sultanpuri police station demanding justice for their daughter.
They had demanded that section 302 should be added to the FIR, alleging that the accused continued driving the car despite knowing that the woman was beneath their car.&nbsp;

The children ranged in age from 4 to 17 and included three girls and two boys, authorities said. The other victims were Tausha Haight, 40, and her 78-year-old mother, Gail Earl.
Authorities have said they do not believe any other suspects are at large.
Enoch is a small town of about 8,000 people located 245 miles (394 kilometers) south of Salt Lake City and about equally distant from Las Vegas.
A southern Utah community was struggling for answers on Thursday after police found eight people from one family, including five children, shot to death in the small town of Enoch.
Police sent officers to check on them on Wednesday and found the family dead from gunshot wounds. Officials did not immediately say why they went to the home.
&ldquo;At this time, we do not believe there is a threat to the public or that there are any suspects at large,&rdquo; officials said in a press release, without providing details tant from Las Vegas.
Enoch City Manager Rob Dotson said the community was sent reeling by news of the eight bodies and that the deceased &mdash; all members of one family &mdash; were well-known in the town. Little was immediately released to the public about the family. In most of Utah, the predominant religion is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, known widely as the Mormon church.
&ldquo;Many of us have served with them in church, in the community and gone to school with these individuals,&rdquo; Dotson said Wednesday night. &ldquo;This community at this time is hurting. They're feeling loss, they're feeling pain and they have a lot of questions.&rdquo; "We all can pray that their families and the neighbours and all will come to an understanding of what happened in this place, probably in a day or two, or maybe longer," he said.
The five children attended schools in the Iron County School District, officials said in a letter sent to parents.
Enoch, off Interstate 15 in rural Utah, just north of the city of Cedar City and about 80 miles (128 kilometers) west of Bryce Canyon National Park, had major flooding in 2021 that damaged hundreds of homes.
