Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Wednesday said his government is not in trouble and is working strongly, a day after three Independent MLAs withdrew support to the BJP dispensation in the state.
MLAs Sombir Sangwan (Dadri), Randhir Singh Gollen (Pundri) and Dharampal Gonder (Nilokheri) on Tuesday withdrew support to the BJP government and announced that they would back the Congress, reducing the Saini government to a minority in the state assembly.
"The government is not in any trouble, it is working strongly," Saini told reporters in Sirsa when asked to comment on the withdrawal of support.
Saini was campaigning for BJP's Sirsa Lok Sabha candidate Ashok Tanwar.
The government which has the support of two other Independents is now two short of the majority mark in the 90-member House which has a current strength of 88.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given a new direction to the country, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini said on Sunday and asserted that when India speaks today, the whole world listens.
Targeting the Congress at a rally in Haryana's Tohana, which is a part of the Sirsa Lok Sabha constituency, Saini said when they were in power, they used to give mere slogans and make hollow promises.
The BJP-led governments at the Centre and in the state have delivered on what they promised, the chief minister said. This was Saini's second poll rally within two days in the Sirsa constituency, the first was in Ratia in Fatehabad district.
"Before 2014, the world used to speak and India used to listen. In 2024, India speaks and the world listens," he said at the rally in Tohana, also in Fatehabad, to garner support for BJP's Sirsa candidate Ashok Tanwar.
India's prestige has increased globally under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, Saini said.
Polling for all 10 Lok Sabha seats in Haryana will take place on May 25.
Attacking the opposition INDIA bloc, Saini said, "If you look at the 'ghamandiya gathbandhan', neither its policy is right nor its intent, and till today, no one knows what kind of leadership it has." The BJP's has the right policy, intention and leadership, he said.

The Narendra Modi government has worked towards the upliftment of the poor and weaker sections of the society and has undertaken several initiatives for their welfare, he said.
In Haryana, the BJP government has taken several steps in the past nine-and-half years for the welfare of poor and weaker sections and provided jobs purely based on merit, the chief minister said.
Interacting with reporters after paying obeisance at Nada Sahib Gurdwara in Panchkula, Saini said the country has scripted a new chapter of development during the 10-year rule of the Narendra Modi government.

The Chief Minister said this while digitally disbursing the Financial Assistance 3rd and 4th Stage Cancer Patient Portal today. He launched two new schemes online to provide financial assistance to people suffering from cancer and 55 other rare diseases. Minister JP Dalal was also present on this occasion.
The Chief Minister said that now cancer patients of stages 3 and 4 will also get financial assistance of Rs 3000 per month. People suffering from cancer and 55 other rare diseases can avail of benefits by applying online through the Saral portal.&nbsp;
He said that this financial assistance will be in addition to the benefits available under any other social security pension scheme. This scheme has been implemented for people of all age groups. In this the annual income should be less than Rs 3 lakh.&nbsp;
The Chief Minister said that cancer patients along with an attendant are also being provided free travel facility from their home to the Cancer Institute in Haryana State Transport buses.
The Chief Minister said that cancer patients can apply on the Saral portal with medical records verified by the Civil Surgeon. After this, online approval will be given by the District Social Welfare Officer.
