I&rsquo;ve been using the new Oppo Find X8 Pro for about a week now, and let me tell you, this thing is a genuine spec monster.&nbsp;
The list of hardware it packs is long enough to send shivers down the spine of any competition.&nbsp;
But there are three things that really stood out to me&mdash;cameras, performance, and battery.&nbsp;
Look, the race to build the ultimate smartphone camera is fiercer than ever, but honestly, the Find X8 Pro feels like it&rsquo;s already claimed the crown.&nbsp;
This phone packs four 50MP cameras on the back. And if that&rsquo;s not crazy enough, two of them are telephoto lenses offering 3x and 6x optical zoom.&nbsp;
The main camera is a 1/1.4" Sony LYT 808 sensor and the ultrawide camera boasts a 120-degree field of view.&nbsp;
This ultrawide lens is the only one without OIS, but it makes up for it with autofocus, making it versatile for both landscape and macro photography.&nbsp;
This time, they&rsquo;ve introduced the new Hasselblad Master Camera System, which they claim takes photography to an entirely new level&mdash;and honestly, I agree.&nbsp;

The results are fantastic, with excellent dynamic range, balanced exposure, and accurate colours. That large sensor on the main camera also shines in low-light conditions, capturing beautiful shots often without even needing night mode.
But it's the telephoto shots that are truly noteworthy, delivering exceptional detail at 3x and 6x zoom . But Oppo is also offering something called AI Telescope Zoom that kicks in at 10x zoom and beyond.
It leverages the full 50MP telephoto camera to restore lost detail using AI. At 60x, when the data is limited, it uses advanced AI models to enhance the image. Just look at the details on the pigeon&rsquo;s wings &ndash; that&rsquo;s pretty insane!
Another advantage of having powerful telephoto lenses like these is that you get amazing portraits.
The phone automatically uses the 3x lens for portraits, but you can also switch to the 6x lens or even the main camera. By the way, all four lenses can shoot 4K video at 60fps in Dolby Vision, offering better dynamic range across the board.
There&rsquo;s also a 32MP camera up front, and it does a decent job with selfies&mdash;nothing groundbreaking, but it gets the job done.
The Find X8 Pro introduces a new hardware button, similar to the iPhone 16's Camera Control Button. It&rsquo;s pressure-sensitive and lets you take photos and zoom in and out of shots. I actually found it more intuitive than the one on the iPhone 16, but I never really felt the need to use it much.
On the whole, the Find X8 Pro is a fantastic package, and I have to say, it&rsquo;s easily one of the best camera phones available right now.
Anyway, enough about cameras, because the other big highlight is the new Dimensity 9400 flagship chipset.&nbsp;
The Find X8 Pro is the first phone in India to feature this processor, so of course, I had to run some benchmarks.&nbsp;
And to make things more interesting, I compared it with the extremely powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite on the Realme GT 7 Pro, which also happens to be the first phone in India to run on that processor.
In AnTuTu, the Find X8 Pro scored an impressive 2.31 million, but it was still a bit lower than the Realme GT 7 Pro&rsquo;s 2.62 million.
However, the Find X8 Pro offers better GPU performance, with a higher peak score of 6,465 in the 3DMark Wildlife Extreme benchmark. The GT 7 Pro, though, had a better stability rating of 71.7%.
Now, while this phone did get a bit hot during benchmark tests, it maintained respectable temperatures while gaming, and I managed to get stable frame rates without any jitter.
With 16GB of RAM and up to 512 GB of storage on tap, day-to-day performance was consistently smooth, whether I was multitasking or running demanding apps.
The other big upgrade for the Find X8 Pro is its larger battery capacity, made possible by Oppo's shift to silicon-carbon batteries from traditional lithium ones.&nbsp;
This new battery technology allows for significantly larger capacity without increasing the physical size, giving the phone better endurance while maintaining a sleek form factor.
And that's why, the Find X8 Pro packs a massive 5,910mAh battery while staying decently slim at just 8.24mm. It easily lasted more than a day on a single charge, so battery anxiety wasn&rsquo;t an issue.&nbsp;
That said, I wasn&rsquo;t all that impressed with the charging speeds.
It supports 80W fast charging with a charger included in the box, and you also get 50W wireless charging, but in my testing, it took 30 minutes to charge from 1 to 50 percent. While that&rsquo;s fine, I think Oppo should have included at least a 100W charger to top up the bigger battery a bit faster.
Elsewhere, the Find X8 Pro is every bit a flagship device.&nbsp;
It features a stunning 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and an incredible 4,500 nits peak brightness, making it one of the brightest displays on the market.
The phone also boasts an IP69 rating for top-tier dust and water resistance, excellent stereo speakers that deliver immersive audio, and the latest ColorOS 15 based on Android 15, which brings refreshed visuals and some genuinely useful AI features.
But like I said at the very start&mdash;cameras, performance, and battery&mdash;these are the three pillars that make the Oppo Find X8 Pro a top contender in its price range.&nbsp;

The Oppo Find X7 Ultra packs in some big numbers - &nbsp;first off, it&rsquo;s got a stunning curved 6.82&rdquo; ProXDR OLED screen with a 1440p resolution, a 120 Hz dynamic refresh rate, and an eye-popping peak brightness of 4500 nits.
Under the hood, you&rsquo;ve got the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 512GB UFS 4.0 storage. The battery is a hefty 5000mAh, and it charges up super fast with 100W wired and 50W wireless charging.
<h3>Oppo Find X7 Ultra Design</h3>
The Find X7 Ultra looks downright slick! I love the navy blue vegan leather combined with a silver metallic frame and a glossy white back panel. It&rsquo;s premium all the way and If I ever got invited to a billionaire&rsquo;s luxury yacht, this is definitely the phone I&rsquo;d bring.
But here&rsquo;s the thing: flagship phones in 2024 are everywhere. They all have powerful specs and look great. Plus, you can actually buy them in India, unlike the Find X7 Ultra, which is exclusive to China.
So, why am I even talking about it? Well, because I care about excellent products, no matter where they&rsquo;re available. The Oppo Find X7 Ultra is truly exceptional in that regard, especially its camera system.&nbsp;
<h3>Oppo Find X7 Ultra Camera</h3>

The Find X7 Ultra goes way beyond what most people expect from a phone camera. With four 50MP cameras, a massive 1-inch sensor on the main camera, and two telephoto lenses, there&rsquo;s really nothing like it on the market.
To get the best results from this hardware, Oppo has developed the HyperTone Image Engine and partnered with camera maker Hasselblad to deliver some pretty impressive image processing.
This means you get excellent dynamic range, balanced exposure, and accurate colours. That 1-inch sensor also allows you to snap lovely low-light photos, often without the need for night mode.
Now, the main camera is pretty great for capturing shots, but what really blew me away was that 3x telephoto lens. It&rsquo;s got one of the biggest sensors you&rsquo;ll find in a telephoto camera, and the results are fantastic. You get plenty of detail and some amazing depth of field thanks to the wide aperture and large sensor. &nbsp; The second telephoto camera with 6x optical zoom isn&rsquo;t quite as powerful as the 3x one. Still, it&rsquo;s very capable and offers good versatility. In certain situations, I actually preferred the 6x optical results over the 3x ones. Just look at this picture on the right&mdash;we&rsquo;re talking high contrast, great detail, well-controlled noise and vibrant colours.&nbsp;
When I needed more detailed close-ups, I could choose my preferred level with the two telephoto lenses, which I really appreciated. By the way, the ultrawide lens kicks in automatically for close-up shots on the 3x and main cameras since there&rsquo;s no dedicated macro mode.
I also found the second telephoto lens very usable at 10x and even up to 30x digital zoom because it uses Oppo's AI zoom, powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. You can zoom all the way up to 120x, and while things get blurry at this level, the text in this picture is still quite readable, especially considering how far it was taken from.
Now, let&rsquo;s come over to portrait mode. It works at four set focal lengths&mdash;23mm, 47mm, 65mm, and 135mm. The 23mm and 47mm portraits come from the main camera, while the 65mm and 135mm come from the 3x and 6x telephoto cameras, respectively.&nbsp;
The 65mm is my favorite focal length for portraits; it handles everything from colours to subject and background separation extremely well. It does sometimes trip up, especially around wisps of hair, and this is more noticeable at the 135mm focal length, but it&rsquo;s still one of the best camera phones for portraits.
You could easily think the photos were taken with a DSLR camera instead of a smartphone. I even compared the Find X7 Ultra's portrait capabilities with the Vivo X100 Pro, which, if you don&rsquo;t know already, takes amazing portraits.

It&rsquo;s hard to say which one is better at snapping portraits because it&rsquo;s so subjective, but what I found during my testing was that the Find X7 Ultra seems to capture accurate skin tones with warmer color tones, which I prefer over the Vivo X100 Pro's slightly whitened skin tones and cooler colours.
However, the X100 Pro offers a nicer bokeh effect and does a better job at edge detection, especially with strands of hair, whereas the Oppo tends to smooth them out completely. So, it really comes down to what you prefer from your phone's camera.
As for the ultrawide camera, it delivers well-exposed results that match the main camera of the Find X7 Ultra well. Side by side, I didn&rsquo;t see much difference in color rendition between the ultrawide, main, and 3x telephoto lenses.
However, nighttime ultrawide photos aren&rsquo;t as impressive as those taken with the main camera. The ultrawide uses a smaller sensor size, so there&rsquo;s more visible noise, softer edges, and noticeable lens flare from light sources.
In the video department, all four lenses on the back can shoot 4K video at 60fps and both telephotos produce a nice amount of natural depth. You also get the ability to shoot in Dolby Vision with all the lenses, but the main camera can shoot it at 4k/60fps, and it has better dynamic range throughout.
Low-light videos from the main camera come out well thanks to that massive 1-inch sensor but in trickier lighting, the dynamic range of the 6x periscope lens doesn&rsquo;t quite match up to the other three lenses.
Rounding off the Find X7 Ultra's magnum opus of a camera system is the 32MP front snapper. If you enjoy selfies with plenty of skin smoothing and zero blemishes by default, you&rsquo;ll love it.
Turn off the beautification mode, though, and you'll get more natural photos and portraits. It takes great selfies in all lighting conditions, and just like the rear cameras, the front camera can also record 4K at 60FPS.

Look, OPPO has nailed it with the Find X7 Ultra. Its camera system is top-notch, offering consistent and versatile performance. The only downside is that you can't buy it outside China.
In fact, India hasn't seen a flagship OPPO Find series phone since 2020&rsquo;s Find X2 Pro. Rumours suggest the upcoming Find X8 Ultra might make it to the Indian market, and I do hope that's true because this kind of tech truly deserves a global stage.

Oppo has been nailing it with standout designs and colour choices for a few years now, and the F25 Pro keeps that streak alive. It rolls out in two striking shades: Lava Red and Ocean Blue. &nbsp;
We've got our hands on the red one and it's like a mix of black and burgundy. It changes its colour depending on how you hold it.
It also has this smooth matte finish while the camera module is glossy. They've also tucked three cameras and a flashlight into the module, all neat and tidy.
The flat frame with its rounded corners not only looks good but also makes the phone easier to hold onto, giving you a bit more grip when you're using it.
Despite its robust appearance, the Oppo F25 Pro is surprisingly lightweight at 177 grams and very sleek at just 7.54mm. It's also got an IP65 rating, so it can handle some splashes of water. &nbsp;
The bad news is that it's only got one speaker, and that's a bit disappointing because stereo speakers are common at this price point. &nbsp;

The Oppo F25 Pro 5G has a large 6.7-inch AMOLED panel with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The screen bezels are slim and mostly uniform, so from the front, the F25 Pro looks like a very premium device.
Plus, it's a flat display, which is great for dodging those annoying accidental touches you get with curved screens. The screen itself is vivid, and great to watch stuff on, especially with its HDR10+ certification.
We didn't face much trouble using the screen outdoors as it offers decent brightness levels of 900 nits outdoors and 1100 nits for HDR content.&nbsp;

It&rsquo;s complemented by an 8MP ultra-wide camera for those expansive shots and a 2MP macro camera. Honestly, it&rsquo;s high time we moved past these 2MP macro cameras on smartphones.
They&rsquo;re fun for up-close shots, sure, but at 2MP, you&rsquo;re not really getting the sharpest images. The other cameras, though, really pull their weight, especially when you&rsquo;ve got good light.
They snap some pretty impressive photos but nightme photos lack detail. Please watch the video to see camera samples.
Up front, there's a 32MP sensor, knocking out some pretty good selfies. They tend to smooth things over a bit, but a few adjustments in the settings can fix that up. It's also good to see that both the front and rear cameras let you shoot 4K at 30FPS.

So, I wasn&rsquo;t expecting it to blow my mind but in my testing I found that it really held its own. Day-to-day stuff was a breeze for this phone. Flipping between apps, scrolling through the web, a bit of photo editing &ndash; it was all buttery smooth.
It can also handle casual games, no problem, and it even kept up with the more intense stuff like Call of Duty Mobile. Sure, it got a bit choppy with the frames here and there, but nothing that made me want to throw it out the window.
Just a heads-up, though &ndash; if you&rsquo;re the type to marathon those graphic-heavy games, the F25 Pro does get a bit warm. Nothing too crazy, but definitely noticeable.
Now, the phone comes in a singe 8GB RAM variant but you do get two storage options to choose from - 128GB or 256GB. You can enhance that further up to 2TB via micro SD card expansion.&nbsp;
As for the software, the F25 Pro runs ColorOS 14 on top of Android 14. &nbsp;It offers a lot of customization that's genuinely fun to dive into.
I especially like the Always-on Display options &ndash; they let you personalize your phone with a bunch of cool themes and wallpapers, making it feel uniquely yours.
On the flipside, ColorOS does come with its fair share of extra apps right out of the box. Some of them you might never click on, but the good news is you can ditch most of them without too much hassle.

Let&rsquo;s start with this new colour. Called Pearl White, this colour has a marble-like back panel with a unique semi-psychedelic pattern. Some will like it, while it's gonna be overkill for others.&nbsp;
Also, the camera island is now bigger than before, and the lens placement inside it lacks symmetry. The camera bump not only makes this phone wobble quite a bit, but it makes gaming a bit uncomfortable as well.&nbsp;
That being said, it has a nice soft-touch finish to it. And since it is matt, it hides fingerprints quite well. Thanks to its curved front and rear glass and 7.6mm thickness, the Reno 11 Pro remains an impressively sleek smartphone. Do note that the frame is still made of plastic.

What consistently surprises me, however, is Oppo's persistent decision to omit a stereo speaker setup in this model.&nbsp;

The 6.7-inch curved AMOLED display on this phone is really good in terms of vibrancy. It has a resolution of FHD+ and is Widevine L1 and HDR10+ certified.
While colour shift at edges is normal on curved display smartphones, it was a bit more pronounced on this phone. Oppo has not yet joined the nits war, as this display has a peak brightness of just 950 nits. That being said, I did not experience any trouble while using it outdoors.&nbsp;

The Reno 11 Pro is powered by a Dimensity 8200 chipset. It is a major leap forward from the ageing Snapdragon 778G on the Reno 10 Pro.&nbsp; Just see the difference in Antutu scores between these two chipsets. It&rsquo;s clear that the Dimensity 8200 is the superior processor.&nbsp;
This also makes the Reno 11 Pro capable enough to handle heavy games. Call of Duty, for instance, runs at 60fps with very high graphics settings. That being said, Dimensity 8200 is still not the latest chipset, since the 8300 is already out.&nbsp;
As for software, the phone runs on Color OS 14 based on Android 14, delivering responsive performance, supported by 12GB of RAM. Color OS is a good Android skin with a lot of customisation options and efficient multitasking features.
For instance, File Dock allows for easy drag-and-drop storage of images, text, and files, streamlining work across different apps. There&rsquo;s also Smart Touch, which lets you capture and extract content from screenshots, including unselectable text and images, which can be directly saved into File Dock.&nbsp;
However, typical issues of Color OS, such as bloatware, intrusive notifications, and unwanted 'hot' apps and games folders, persist on this device.
While most of these annoyances can be disabled, their presence is unwarranted on a premium mid-range phone. Since OnePlus ships a cleaner version of basically the same software on their phones, Oppo, you can do it too.&nbsp;

The camera setup on the Reno 11 Pro is exactly the same as that of the Reno 10 Pro. You get a 50MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultrawide sensor and a 32MP telephoto sensor with 2x optical zoom.
However, while the Reno 10 Pro had colour consistency issues with its three sensors, this has been fixed to a large extent on the Reno 11 Pro.&nbsp;
The main sensor takes colour accurate images with good dynamic range and preserves details quite well. Even nighttime shots have good highlight control and low noise. 4K videos from this sensor have decent detail but not very impressive stabilisation.&nbsp;
The telephoto camera is pretty much at par with the main sensor in terms of quality, which is quite an achievement. Portrait photos also have impressive edge detection. However, the ultrawide sensor is rather uninspiring with its soft photos and lack of detail.&nbsp;
Like seriously, this 8MP ultrawide sensor has been overused on BBK mid-range smartphones, and it has been an underperformer everywhere. It&rsquo;s high time that this sensor be retired. Anyway, the 32MP selfie shooter on the Reno 11 Pro produces accurate skin tones and good dynamic range.

In an era where 5,000mAh is the norm, the Reno 11 Pro is still offering a 4,600mAh battery, same as its predecessor. The battery life, with a screen time of 6-7 hours is not bad, but not class leading either.
On the flipside, Oppo supplies an 80W charger with this smartphone which takes it from 0-100 in around half an hour, so that&rsquo;s great.
