Singer Rahul Sipligunj is currently enjoying success. The singer is back in Hyderabad after his memorable performance of RRR's Naatu Naatu at the 95th Academy Awards with Kaala Bhairava. The song won an Oscar as well, making history as the first song from an Indian movie to do so.
To top it all off, Rahul and Kaala Bhairava's performance was greeted with a standing ovation by the international who's who of the entertainment industry. Rahul expresses his feelings to indianexpress.com, saying, "It was a great feeling. For any artist in the world, getting to perform on the Oscar stage is a dream come true.
Rahul observed the audience members at the Dolby theatre standing up, applauding, and cheering as soon as the dynamic performance was over. Rahul claims that moment gave him goosebumps.
He said, 'I felt shivers! The auditorium was filled with famous people from all over the world, but my mentor MM Keeravani Sir and Rajamouli Sir were there to watch our performance. We had to make sure we gave it everything we had and delighted the RRR team. Since it was essentially a stage adaptation of Naatu Naatu, that was the whole point.'
In the three to four days prior to the Oscars, the singers practiced for at least 30 minutes each day. The musicians also took pictures with Barbadian singer Rihanna, who has won nine Grammy awards. Later, the singers uploaded the photo to their social media profiles.
Rahul remembers the encounter, describing her as a beautiful woman with a beautiful heart: "Our green rooms were next to each other, and as we were returning to ours, she was emerging from hers. Me and Kaala Bhairava were talking about wanting to take a picture as we approached her. She noticed that although these two men wanted to take a photo, they were too shy to request it. She then acknowledged us and stood up.&nbsp;
After the Oscar victory, they met Rihanna, and Rahul later revealed the conversation they had with the Umbrella singer. She told the group, 'Guys, you performed really well, and congratulations on Naatu Naatu winning an Oscar.'
Rahul wants to experiment with playback and independent singing in various languages. The singer claims that he wants to translate his own music into as many languages as he did with Naatu Naatu.

'RRR' star Ram Charan returned to India on Friday, has revealed that said he wanted to perform Naatu Naatu at the Oscars. Oscar-winning &lsquo;RRR&rsquo; song &lsquo;Naatu Naatu&rsquo; singer Kaala Bhairava shared a thanks note for everyone involved in making the song a success. But many have expressed their anger as he forgot to mention the lead actors of the film, Jr NTR and Ram Charan in his note.&nbsp;
Kaala Bhairava captioned his post saying, &lsquo;Something I wanted to share with you all..&rsquo; His note read, &ldquo;I want to share something with you all. I feel extremely grateful for having had the invaluable opportunity of representing team RRR and performing at the Oscars for the best original song category. On that note, I want to share with you that it&rsquo;s only because of a few people who directly or indirectly, but &lsquo;completely&rsquo; are the reason for me getting this priceless opportunity which I personally feel is far beyond how much I actually deserve!&rsquo;&nbsp;
He added, &ldquo;@ssrajamouli Baba, Naanna, @premrakshith_choreographer Master, @sskarthikeya Anna, Amma, and Peddhamma. Many expressed their anger as they saw that he hadn&rsquo;t mentioned the lead actors&rsquo; names in his note. &lsquo;One said, So basically NTR and Charan didn&rsquo;t add any value according to you?&rsquo;&nbsp; He responded to the comments and wrote, &lsquo;I have no doubt Tarak anna and Charan anna are the reason for the success of naatu naatu and RRR itself. &lsquo;Hi everyone, this is Deepika Padukone and today you are getting ready with me for the 95th Oscars. Come on in,&rsquo; the actor says as the video begins.&nbsp;
She adds, &lsquo;So I love starting my day with getting a workout in and follow that up with usually going into the steam or sauna for a bit, depending on what my body needs. After a hot shower, this is what I'd like to do first.&rsquo;&nbsp;
In the video, she is also seen sharing her skincare routine using her products of her brand 82&deg;E. &lsquo;I love starting with just cleansing. And then I love icing my face,&rsquo;
She follows it up by saying that when she is done icing the face, she applies a moisturiser and sunscreen. &nbsp;
After a simple and effortless routine, she starts getting ready for the event with make-up artists.

SS Rajamouli admits speeding up ‘RRR’s sequel after ‘Naatu Naatu’s Oscar win 

SS Rajamouli said, ‘[Oscar win] is going to put some acceleration in the script’. 

SS Rajamouli agreed that after winning the Oscar for 'Naatu Naatu', they will now speed up work on the sequel.

&lsquo;Naatu Naatu&rsquo; from SS Rajamouli&rsquo;s &lsquo;RRR&rsquo; won the Oscar for Best Original Song. Soon after the big win, the director was asked about the sequel of the film in an interview. Talking to Hollywood trade magazine Variety, Rajamouli admitted that the Oscar win will speed up work on the sequel which is being written by his father, screenwriter Vijayendra Prasad.
Composer Keeravaani added that saying about the progress of the sequel was a &lsquo;tricky question&rsquo;.

This is the idea that is worth pursuing.&rsquo;&rsquo; He also discussed with his dad to expand the idea and to begin the work as soon as possible.
The director further added, &lsquo;At present, he&rsquo;s seriously working on the story; he&rsquo;s getting it done. But once this script is done is when we really look into how to make it, when to make it, and how to bring it onto the screen.&rsquo;&nbsp;

In 2009, at the 81st Academy Awards, music composer A R Rahman and sound engineer Resul Pookutty won the award for their work on Danny Boyle’s film ‘Slumdog Millionaire’. Rahman won two awards— Best Original Song for ‘Jai Ho’, which he shared with lyricist Gulzar, and Best Original Score, while Pookutty won for Best Sound Mixing.

Over the years, many Indian filmmakers, actors, and talents have made their presence felt at one of cinema's biggest nights. However, only a handful of Indians have won the coveted statuette.
The first Academy Award was won by Bhanu Athaiya, who bagged Best Costume Design in 1983 for the film &lsquo;Gandhi&rsquo;. The film, directed by Richard Attenborough, won eight Oscars that year including Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Actor for Ben Kingsley, who played Mahatma Gandhi.
In 1992, Indian director Satyajit Ray won an honorary Oscar &lsquo;in recognition of his rare mastery of the art of motion pictures, and of his profound humanitarian outlook, which has had an indelible influence on filmmakers and audiences throughout the world&rsquo;.
Ray, who accepted the award from his hospital bed via video one month before his death, called it &lsquo;the best achievement of my moviemaking career&rsquo;.

A total of 15 songs have been shortlisted from among 81 tunes in the Best Original Song. Other songs which have been shortlisted include 'Nothing Is Lost' from 'Avatar: The way Of Water', 'Lift Me Up' from 'Blank Panther: Wakanda Forever', 'Hold My Hand' from 'Top Gun: Maverick' among others.
Indian film 'Chhello Show', India&rsquo;s official entry to the Oscars, has also been shortlisted for the Oscars in the Best International Feature Film category.
'RRR' was released in March this year and went on to become a huge commercial success grossing over ₹1200 crore worldwide. The film also featured Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn in pivotal roles.

Film 'Chhello Show' is India's official entry for the '95th Academy Awards'. Film's director Pan Nalin recalled that director Ashutosh Gowariker told him 'you are going to the Oscars' after watching the movie. 
Speaking with Times of India, the Chhello Show director said 'And guess who was the first in this industry who in fact went ecstatic after seeing it! Ashutosh Gowariker. 'Chhello Show' is a coming-of-age drama film about a young boy's love cinema in a village in Gujarat. Film Federation of India (FFI) president TP Aggarwal said that the film was chosen unanimously. The film is titled 'Last Film Show' in English and will hit the theatres on October 14.
