The Oscars 2024 was an eventful night. From Margot Robbie to Cilian Murphy, many attended the star-studded award show. While the awards have every one's attention, one moment in particular stood out and left the audience shocked.
Things took a wild turn at the award ceremony when John Cena walked on stage nude to present the Best Costume Award. Here is what happened!

In a video going viral, Jimmy Kimmel introduced Cena as the presenter of the category by hinting that he will appear nude on stage. While Cena was reluctant at first, he soon walked out and gave out the award whilst being nude.&nbsp;
After announcing the nominations, the crew helped him wear a cloth after which he gave out the award of the 'Best Costume' to Poor Things.

Davine Joy Randolp bagged the honour of Best Supporting Actress for 'The Holdovers'. &ldquo;God is so good,&rdquo; she said while accepting her award. She was honoured with the award after Lupita N'yongo, Jamie Lee Curtis, Regina King and others announced after introducing each nominee.

<h2>Christopher Nolan's &lsquo;Oppenheimer&rsquo; beat competition from the likes of &lsquo;Killers of The Flower Moon&rsquo;, &lsquo;The Holdovers&rsquo; and &lsquo;Anatomy of a Fall&rsquo; to win the award for Best Film.</h2>

Christopher Nolan's &lsquo;Oppenheimer&rsquo; won the Best Film award at the 96th edition of the Academy Awards held at Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, United States. The epic biographical thriller beat competition from the likes of &lsquo;Killers of The Flower Moon&rsquo;, &lsquo;The Holdovers&rsquo; and &lsquo;Anatomy of a Fall&rsquo; to win the award.
Nolan secured his first Academy Award, triumphing as Best Director for his historical drama &lsquo;Oppenheimer,&rsquo; which delves into the story of the man responsible for the atomic bomb's development during World War Two.
Nolan was widely expected to clinch the Oscar, having previously garnered Best Director accolades at the Golden Globes, BAFTA, Critics Choice, and the Directors Guild of America earlier this year.
In addition to directing, Christopher Nolan also penned the screenplay for &lsquo;Oppenheimer&rsquo; and served as a producer alongside his wife, Emma Thomas. The film garnered a total of 13 Oscar nominations, including Best Picture and a Best Actor nod for Cillian Murphy, who portrayed J. Robert Oppenheimer, famously dubbed &lsquo;the father of the atomic bomb.&rsquo;
Reflecting on the film's narrative, Nolan shared with Reuters before its premiere last summer, &lsquo;Oppenheimer's story is one of the most dramatic that I know of, and there are many, many aspects to what makes it so compelling.&rsquo;
Oppenheimer led the secret Los Alamos Laboratory, created under President Franklin D. Roosevelt as part of the Manhattan Project to construct the first atomic bomb. He supervised the inaugural detonation of the atomic bomb in the New Mexico desert, codenamed "Trinity," preceding the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in Japan.
Regarding its box office performance, the film has amassed over $957 million in global ticket sales.
Renowned for his thought-provoking films, Christopher Nolan earned his first Oscar nomination for screenwriting in 2002 for &lsquo;Memento,&rsquo; a film he also directed. He received another nomination for Best Director in 2019 for the World War Two movie &lsquo;Dunkirk.&rsquo;

This marks Downey's first-ever Oscar win, following previous nominations for Best Actor in 1993 for &lsquo;Chaplin&rsquo; and for Best Supporting Actor in 2009 for &lsquo;Tropic Thunder.&rsquo;

'Naatu Naatu', the song from the movie 'RRR' was given an illuminating tribute by electric car maker Tesla.&nbsp;
The Academy Award-winning song was recently played at a parking lot in New Jersey which was apparently full of Tesla cars.
Shared by RRR movie's official Twitter handle, the clip that has now gone viral shows people enjoying the song while the parked cars are flashing headlights and taillights to the beats of 'Naatu Naatu.' Meanwhile, people can be seen dancing, cheering and hooting.
RRR tweeted, ".@Teslalightshows light sync with the beats of #Oscar &nbsp;Winning Song #NaatuNaatu in New Jersey. Thanks for all the love."&nbsp;
For the last 2-3 years, Tesla has been doing similar light shows to mark special occasions.
The electric car maker uses car lights and speakers for the light show. Tesla in 2021 had come up with this initiative of mini concerts using its electric cars' lights.
At the 95th Academy Awards, the foot-tapping chartbuster &ldquo;Naatu Naatu&rdquo;, composed by MM Keeravaani and penned by Chandrabose, made the Telugu feature film the first Indian production to bring home the golden statuette.
The song was also performed at the Oscars ceremony by singers Kaala Bhairava and Rahul Sipligunj.
Directed by SS Rajamouli, "RRR" is a pre-independence fictional story following two real-life Indian revolutionaries Alluri Sitarama Raju (Charan) and Komaram Bheem (Jr NTR) in the 1920s.

Actor Ram Charan has returned to India after attending the 95th Academy Awards, where the song 'Naatu Naatu' from his movie 'RRR' won in the Best Original Song category.
The actor was greeted at the Delhi Airport by fans on Friday. Upon returning the actor said 'I am pleased &amp; happy. Thank you, everyone. We are proud of MM Keeravani, SS Rajamouli &amp; Chandrabose. Because of their hard work, we went to the red carpet &amp; brought Oscar for India... I thank all the fans and people from North to South and East to West parts of India for watching RRR &amp; making the &lsquo;Naatu Naatu&rsquo; song a superhit. Naatu Naatu was not our song it was the song of the people of India. It gave us an avenue for the Oscars.'

The documentary competed for the honour with fellow nominees 'Haul Out,' 'How Do You Measure A Year?' 'The Martha Mitchell Effect,' and 'Stranger At The Gate'

A large number of tourists thronged Mudumalai Theppakadu elephant camp to catch a glimpse of the baby elephant made famous by the Indian documentary film 'Elephant Whisperers', which won an Oscar in the 'Best Documentary Short Film' category on Monday.
The documentary competed for the honour with fellow nominees 'Haul Out,' 'How Do You Measure A Year?' 'The Martha Mitchell Effect,' and 'Stranger At The Gate'.
The film's plot revolves around a family, which adopts two orphan baby elephants in Tamil Nadu's Mudumalai Tiger Reserve.
"It is such a great moment. It's a pleasure to be here. The elephant is my favourite animal and the fact that the film won an Oscar does make me delighted and excited," said a tourist.
The director of the Tamil documentary, Kartiki Gonsalves and producer Guneet Monga stepped up to collect the golden statuette at the 95th Academy Awards on Monday.
In her winning speech, Gonsalves said, "I stand here today to speak on the sacred bond between us and our natural world. For the respect of indigenous communities. For entity towards other living beings, we share our space with. And finally for coexistence. Thank you to the academy for recognizing our film highlighting indigenous people and animals. As he announced the first award category, he was driven away by dancers set to perform the film&rsquo;s song &lsquo;Naatu Naatu&rsquo; on stage. Fans have slammed the host for his speech and have expressed their disappointment on social media.
Jimmy said, &lsquo;This year we are not gonna play you off stage instead we have a group of performers from the movie RRR who are going to dance you offstage.&rsquo; He later called the SS Rajamouli directorial a 'Bollywood movie'.
After the incident, fans started reacting to his slip-up. A Twitter user wrote, &lsquo;Why are they stating as a Bollywood Film when #RRR is actually a Tollywood film? There is a lack of representation in the Western world, unfortunately. Shame on #TheAcademy!&rsquo;

The Ram Charan and Jr NTR starrer has been submitted for Oscar 2023 nomination consideration in 14 categories, including Best Actor and Best Picture. The film&rsquo;s song &lsquo;Naatu Naatu&rsquo; has been shortlisted in the best song category.

Gujarati film "Chhello Show", a coming-of-age drama about a young boy's love affair with cinema in a village in Saurashtra, is India's official entry for the 95th Academy Awards, the Film Federation of India (FFI) announced on Tuesday.
Titled "Last Film Show" in English, the Pan Nalin-directorial will release in theatres countrywide on October 14.
According to FFI president TP Aggarwal, "Chhello Show" was unanimously chosen over films such as SS Rajamouli's "RRR", Ranbir Kapoor-led "Brahmastra: Part One Shiva", Vivek Agnihotri's "The Kashmir Files" and R Madhavan's directorial debut "Rocketry".
"The 17 member jury unanimously chose 'Chhello Show'. There were a total of 13 films of different languages including six in Hindi -- 'Brahmastra', 'The Kashmir Files', 'Anek', 'Jhund", "Badhaai Do' and 'Rocketry' -- and one each in Tamil ('Iravin Nizhal'), Telugu ('RRR'), Bengali ('Aparajito') and Gujarati ('Chhello Show') as well as few others," Aggarwal told PTI.
The film, which will represent the country in the best international feature film category at the Oscars, is produced by Siddharth Roy Kapur's banner Roy Kapur Films, Jugaad Motion Pictures, Monsoon Films, Chhello Show LLP and Marc Duale.
The story is inspired by Nalin's own memories of falling in love with movies as a child in rural Gujarat.
Set in a remote rural village of Saurashtra, the film follows the story of a nine-year-old boy who begins a lifelong love affair with cinema when he bribes his way into a rundown movie palace and spends a summer watching movies from the projection booth.
Nalin, best known for directing critically-acclaimed films "Samsara", "Valley of Flowers" and "Angry Indian Goddesses", expressed his gratitude to the FFI and the selection jury.
"I could have never imagined such a day would come and bring light and celebration of light. 'Chhello Show' has been enjoying love from around the world but there was an ache in my heart that how do I make India discover it? Now I can breathe again and believe in cinema that entertains, inspires and enlightens! Thank you FFI, Thank you Jury," the director said in a statement.
"Chhello Show", which features Bhavin Rabari, Vikas Bata, Richa Meena, Bhavesh Shrimali, Dipen Raval and Rahul Koli, had its world premiere as the opening film at the Tribeca Film Festival in June last year.
It won multiple awards during its festival run, including the Golden Spike at the 66th Valladolid Film Festival in Spain where it also enjoyed commercial success during its theatrical run.
Roy Kapur said the team is thrilled and honoured with the film's selection for the Oscars 2023.
"There could not be a more apt time for a film like this one, that celebrates the magic and wonder of cinema and the theatrical experience. When cinema-going around the world has been disrupted by a pandemic, it reminds audiences anew of the first time they fell in love with the experience of watching a movie in a darkened cinema hall," the producer said.
Last year, Tamil drama "Koozhangal" ("Pebbles"), directed by filmmaker Vinothraj PS, was India's official entry at the Oscars but didn't make the shortlist.
The last Indian film that made it to the final five was the Aamir Khan-led "Lagaan" in 2001.
"Mother India" (1958) and "Salaam Bombay" (1989) are the other two Indian movies to have made it to the top five.
The 95th Academy Awards are scheduled to take place on March 12, 2023 in Los Angeles.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has announced that the 94th Oscars ceremony will take place on&nbsp;March 27, 2022, instead of February.&nbsp;
According to reports, Academy also confirmed that eligibility requirements for the 94th Academy Awards will be consistent with the addendums made for the 93rd awards.
The report adds, that&nbsp;in order to be eligible for the awards, films must be released between March and December of this year narrowing the eligibility window for films to 10 months.&nbsp;
Reportedly this decision comes after the academy was forced to delay its 2021 awards show from February to April due to the&nbsp;Covid-19 pandemic.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has announced that the 94th Oscars ceremony will take place on&nbsp;March 27, 2022, instead of February.&nbsp;
Academy in its statement confirmed that eligibility requirements for the 94th Academy Awards will the same&nbsp;as was for the 93rd awards.
The statement also adds that&nbsp;in order to be eligible for the awards, films must be released between March and December of this year narrowing the eligibility window for films to 10 months.&nbsp;
