Actor Paresh Rawal took to social media on May 28 to announce his next project, titled &lsquo;The Taj Story&rsquo;. He stated the movie, directed by Tushar Amrish Goel, will go on the floors on July 20, 2024.
He wrote in his tweet, &lsquo;Announcing my upcoming film The Taj Story Shooting commences from 20th July 2024, Producer CA Suresh Jha. The actor made the announcement two days before his birthday on May 30.

Earlier, Pinkvilla reported that Paresh Rawal will be sharing the screen with Vaani Kapoor and Aparshakti Khurana in a family dramedy written and directed by Navjot Gulati.
A source said, &lsquo;It&rsquo;s a family dramedy set against the backdrop of dysfunctional relationships in modern times. The makers were keen to get a cast of credible actors on board to spearhead the project, and it was an instant yes from the trio of Vaani Kapoor, Paresh Rawal, and Aparshakti Khurrana.&rsquo;
The source added that the film will go on floors soon in London.

Veteran actor Paresh Rawal announced that Kartik Aaryan was roped in for &lsquo;Hera Pheri 3&rsquo; in November 2022 and it soon created a stir on social media.
Many had strongly expressed their disappointment with Kartik reportedly replacing Akshay Kumar in the hit franchise. Now, Kartik is no longer a part of the franchise and recently Paresh Rawal opened up about the whole fiasco around the cast of &lsquo;Hera Pheri 3&rsquo;.
He said, &lsquo;Kartik Aaryan had a different role in the film. He was not supposed to play Raju, which was played by Akshay Kumar in the first two films. Kartik's character wasn't cut from the same cloth as Raju and was made with a different fabric. Kartik's role was different and had a different kind of energy than Raju's. The premise of his character was different. One shouldn't be afraid of backlash. And once people watch a film, they forget all the backlashes.&rsquo;
In an earlier interview, the veteran actor had mentioned that he was 'sick and tired' of the reels, memes, and jokes made out of his character - Baburao Apte.
Paresh Rawal will be next seen in 'Dream Girl 2' alongside Ayushmaan Khurrana and Ananya Panday. He also has 'Awara Pagal Deewana 2' and 'Welcome 3' in his kitty. All the films will be shot over the period of the one year.

Actor Akshay Kumar has finally joined the &lsquo;Hera Pheri&rsquo; franchise, but now everyone is wondering if Kartik Aaryan will be a part of the comedy caper. A few days back, &lsquo;Hera Pheri 3&rsquo;s teaser was shot for which actors Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal reunited.
In a new interview, Paresh has revealed that contrary to his previous announcement, Kartik may not be a part of the third instalment at all.
Talking to Mid-Day, the actor said, &lsquo;As far as I know, initially, both Kartik and Akshay were to do the film, but it didn&rsquo;t work out. I don&rsquo;t know what happened.&rsquo;

It will be a [long] schedule in Mumbai. The movie will also be shot in international locations like Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Los Angeles, as Babu bhaiyya, Raju and Shyam go abroad. They&rsquo;ll do hera pheri globally.

Gujarat polls speech: Calcutta HC quashes FIR against actor Paresh Rawal

The court noted that Rawal, who had moved a petition before it seeking quashing of the FIR, has already given clarifications and tendered an apology over the speech in question.

&nbsp;Calcutta High Court on Monday quashed an FIR filed against actor Paresh Rawal by the CPI(M)'s West Bengal unit secretary Mohd Salim who claimed that the Padma Shri awardee had made derogatory comments against the Bengali community. The court noted that Rawal, who had moved a petition before it seeking quashing of the FIR, has already given clarifications and tendered an apology over the speech in question. It said the speech was made in Gujarati and some of the criticisms that have been made against the speech are by persons who may not necessarily understand the language. Considering all aspects of the case, Justice Rajasekhar Mantha quashed the FIR, observing that further continuation of the proceedings was not desirable.
Advocate Varun Chugh, counsel for Rawal, said the FIR was registered with the intention to gain political mileage with ulterior motives.
"It is evident that it is a politically motivated FIR to damage the reputation of a celebrity and public figure like my client," he said. Rawal, a former BJP MP, stated in the petition that his speech delivered in Gujarati on November 29, during a campaign for the Gujarat assembly elections last year, was misinterpreted and mistranslated for political vendetta. He maintained that he has given clarifications on his statement and apologised on December 2, the same date when Salim filed an FIR at Taltala police station in Kolkata.

The BJP leader, as per an India Today report, sought 6-week's time from the concerned investigating citing his 'busy work schedule.'

Rawal had taken up the subject of gas cylinder prices at the BJP rally in Gujarat's Valsad earlier this month where he took a "cook fish for Bengalis" jibe seemingly at Rohingya migrants.
"Gas cylinders are expensive, but their price will come down. People will get employment too. But what will happen if Rohingya migrants and Bangladeshis start living around you, like in Delhi? "What will you do with gas cylinders? Cook fish for the Bengalis?" the former BJP MP had said.
He was booked under various sections of the IPC after CPI(M) leader and the party's state secretary Mohammed Salim lodged a complaint against him, alleging that the actor's utterances tantamounted to hate speech, which could promote feelings of hatred against Bengalis.
Rawal, however, apologised for his comments following a huge backlash on social media.&nbsp;

CPI(M) MP Md Salim in his complaint said he came across a video on various social media platforms featuring Paresh Rawal giving a speech that could promote feelings of hatred against Bengalis.

The Kolkata Police has booked actor Paresh Rawal under different sections of the IPC on a complaint filed by CPI(M) state secretary Md Salim, who alleged that he delivered "hate speech" against the Bengali community during an election rally of the BJP in Gujarat.
A case has been registered against Rawal under IPC sections 153 (provocation with intent to cause riot), 153A (promoting enmity between different groups), 153B (propagates denial of rights to linguistic or racial groups), 504 (Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace) and 505 (statements intending public mischief), police said in a communication to Salim.
Salim in his complaint to the Taltala police station on Thursday said he came across a video on various social media platforms featuring the actor giving a speech that could promote feelings of hatred against Bengalis.
Seeking the actor's prosecution, Salim claimed that Rawal had made an unsavoury reference to Bengalis linking gas cylinders with Bangladeshis, Rohingyas, Bengalis and fish.
Rawal apologised on Friday following a huge backlash on the social media over his comments.
"Of course, the fish is not the issue as Gujaratis do cook and eat fish. But let me clarify by Bengali I meant illegal Bangladeshi N Rohingya. But still if I have hurt your feelings and sentiments I do apologise," the 67-year-old actor and former BJP MP wrote on Twitter.
Rawal had taken up the issue of gas cylinder prices, an emotive poll issue, at a BJP rally in Valsad district on Tuesday.
"Gas cylinders are expensive, but their price will come down. People will get employment too. But what will happen if Rohingya migrants and Bangladeshis start living around you, like in Delhi? ... What will you do with gas cylinders? Cook fish for the Bengalis?" Rawal had said.

&lsquo;Hera Pheri&rsquo; fans were eagerly waiting to watch Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal and Suniel Shetty reunite for the third part. However, it looks like Kartik Aaryan will be replacing Akshay in the franchise.
Paresh, who played the character of Babu Rao in the first two films, confirmed that the young actor will be a part of the third film. On Twitter, a fan asked Paresh if the rumours of Kartik being a part of the third installment of the popular franchise were true. To which, Rawal said, &lsquo;Yes it&rsquo;s true.&rsquo;
A recent Pinkvilla report stated that Akshay was keen to revisit the iconic film, but he has decided to take a step back as he couldn&rsquo;t align with the broad script ideas.
A source told the publication that Akshay Kumar is well aware of his fans&rsquo; expectations of him in these comedy franchises. However, he refused to compromise on the quality of these scripts, as attempts to remake these sequels without proper thought and with other actors have already failed in the past.
According to Pinkvilla, &lsquo;Hera Pheri 3&rsquo; was announced earlier with Abhishek Bachchan, John Abraham, Suniel Shetty, and Paresh Rawal. The film even went on floors, but the shooting was stalled mid-way due to multiple reasons.
After the success of his last film &lsquo;Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2&rsquo;, Kartik Aaryan has multiple projects in the pipeline.

'Hera Pheri,' the iconic comedy-drama, starring Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, and Paresh Rawal, is all set to return for part 3. In a recent interview with Bollywood Hungama, producer Firoz Nadiadwala confirmed that 'Hera Pheri 3' is in the works and will return with the original star cast. 
Nadiadwala told the publication that the team is currently working on the script and the official announcement will be made soon.
'The story is in place, and we are working on certain modalities. It’ll be made in the same way, retaining the innocence of the characters. We can’t take past achievements for granted. So, we have to be extra careful in terms of our content, story, screenplay, characters, mannerism etc,' he told Bollywood Hungama.
Nadiadwala further hinted that they are on the verge of shortlisting a director for the third chapter. 'We are in talks. We’ll make the announcement soon,' he said.
The original 'Hera Pheri' (2000) was helmed by Priyadarshan whereas the sequel 'Phir Hera Pheri' (2006) was directed by Neeraj Vora.

It is the first time in Hindi cinema that two actors have played one character. It's a risky move as it exposes two actors to juxtaposition and criticism. Suhail Nayyar warrants a special mention for his performance. It is not easy to stand out in front of brilliant actors like Rishi Kapoor and Paresh Rawal. But, Nayyar is effortless. Other co-actors - Satish Kaushik, Isha Talwar, Sheeba Chaddha &ndash; have played their part well. Juhi Chawla and Rishi Kapoor take us back to an era when romance was more about emotional chemistry. Their on-screen chemistry is adorable as always. Parmeet Sethi's presence lit up the screen.
Director Hitesh Bhatia has done complete justice to Rishi Kapoor and the film. He ensured to retain the simplicity and charm of the actor. The shift between Rishi Kapoor and Paresh Rawal was smooth. The writing is crisp, honest, non-dramatic, and definitely not preachy! But above all, Sharmaji is 'entertaining'.
Hitesh pays a perfect homage to Rishi Kapoor in the end credits. A behind-the-scenes clip brings back Rishi Kapoor where he says, "Now, this can't be done better than this."
