Indian pharma company gives cars to employees as Diwali gift

As it gave 11 cars as a Diwali gift to employees, the Haryana-based pharma firm has said that it plans a similar bonanza for 38 more employees.&nbsp;

A pharmaceutical company in Haryana's Panchkula said it has gifted 12 cars to its employees and plans to give similar rewards to 38 others for their "hard work and loyalty" during this Diwali.
In a statement, Mits Healthcare Private Limited said it has given cars to its employees as a Diwali gift.
The company's director M K Bhatia, who referred to his employees as "celebrities", presented the cars to 12 "star performers".
The company also plans to give cars to 38 more employees in the near future, it said.
Bhatia attributed the success of his company to the hard work, dedication, and loyalty of his employees.
The company manufactures general range, critical care, orthopaedics, gynaecology, dermatology, cosmeceuticals and cardio diabetic pharma products.&nbsp;

The ministry of chemicals and fertilizers has drafted regulations to curb the operations of the e-pharmacies. According to the news channel, the government is concerned over data leak and misuse through these online platforms.
The DGCA had issued show cause notices to over 20 e-pharmacies, for violation of the Drugs and Cosmetics Act 1940, as they were found to be selling schedule H, H1 and X without a valid licence. In response the FICCI wrote to the Union government showing concerns over the notices.
Meanwhile, the All India Organisation of Chemists and Druggists (AIOCD), threatened to launch a country-wide agitation if the government didn&rsquo;t act. AIOCD has also written to FICCI, claiming that their support for e-pharmacies amounts to advocating for an illegally operating business.

The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said that Ezricare Artificial Tears eye drops could be contaminated with a drug-resistant bacteria that have been linked to reports of permanent vision loss and bloodstream infection.
The CDC is testing samples of eyedrops that are made in India by Chennai-based Global Pharma Healthcare.&nbsp;
Disease investigators said the&nbsp;infections were all caused by a bacteria called Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Investigators detected that kind of bacteria in open EzriCare bottles, but further testing was underway to see if the strains matched.

EzriCare said it is not aware of any evidence definitively linking the outbreak to the product, but that it has stopped distributing the eye drops. It also has a notice on its website urging consumers to stop using the drops.
In its statement, Ezricare also said that it is only involved in marketing and designing the exterior label of the drug and has no role in the formulation, packaging delivery system design or actual manufacturing of this product.

According to a report by India Today quoting the health ministry of Uzbekistan, 18 out of 21 children with acute respiratory disease lost their lives after taking Doc-1 Max tablets and syrup manufactured by the Uttar Pradesh-based Marion Biotech. The Uzbek ministry, however, added that the children died because the medicine was not taken in the right dosage.
