Veteran actor Poonam Dhillon confirmed that Sonakshi Sinha will tie the knot with her longtime boyfriend Zaheer Iqbal on June 23. She mentioned that Sonakshi has sent her a &lsquo;lovely wedding invite,&rsquo; and she will be a part of the &lsquo;Heeramandi&rsquo; actor&rsquo;s special day later this month.
Speaking with Instant Bollywood, Poonam said, &lsquo;I wish Sonakshi all the very best. Boht pyara invite bheja hai usne. I have known her since she was a little girl, uski poori journey dekhi hai toh bhagwaan kare boht khush rahe. She is a lovely, warm, very loving girl toh I wish her all the joy and happiness. (She has sent a very beautiful invite. I have known her since she was a child and I have seen her entire journey. So, I wish her all the happiness.)&rsquo;
She also jokingly warned Zaheer, saying, &lsquo;please keep her happy Zaheer, yaad rakhna, boht pyaari bachi hai; boht precious hai hum sab ko. (Remember this: she is a very sweet girl. She is precious to all of us.)&rsquo;
Hours after Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal's wedding invite was leaked online, Shatrughan Sinha addressed the news about his daughter's wedding. The actor-politician stated that he was neither confirming nor denying the marriage reports. However, he assured when it happens, he will be a happy father. He also emphasized that the family would support her decision regardless of whom she chooses to marry.
&lsquo;I am neither confirming nor denying her wedding news. Time will tell. She will always have my blessings,&rsquo; Shatrughan told The Times of India.
&lsquo;Sonakshi is the apple of my eye. She is my only daughter and very close to me. I am a proud father because, over the years, she has also grown as an actor. From Lootere to Dahaad to now Heeramandi, she has proved to be a fantastic actor,&rsquo; he added.
&lsquo;If my daughter is getting married, I will give her my blessings and support her decision and choice. Sonakshi has the right to choose her companion, and I will be the happiest father on her wedding day. I will always wish her the best&hellip; ek hi toh beti hai meri,&rsquo; Shatrughan said.
