Reports said that the BJP has already started talks with smaller regional parties for support post results.
Some reports said that the MGP is not inclined to back Pramod Sawant, who had dropped the party from the <a href="https://www.editorji.com/elections/goa-elections" target="_blank">Goa </a>cabinet after taking over as Chief Minister following Manohar Parrikar's death in 2019.
Hectic activities are also on in the Congress camp, with the party reportedly planning to shift its Goa MLAs to Maharashtra to shield them from poaching.
The party has also signalled a massive shift by saying it is open to an alliance with Arvind Kejriwal's AAP and the Trinamool in case it falls short of numbers.

One person died, around 1,000 houses were damaged and hundreds of people evacuated from low-lying parts as Goa on Friday reeled under one of the worst floods in nearly 40 years.
Chief Minister Pramod Sawant who visited certain affected areas to monitor rescue and relief operations told reporters that the floods have badly hit Sattari, Bicholim, Ponda, Dharbandora, Bardez and Pernem.

The Chief Minister said this is the worst floods since 1982, adding properties worth crores of rupees have been damaged.
The disaster management cell swung into action and evacuated people who were stranded at different locations.
Sawant informed that government-run schools have been converted into temporary shelter homes to accommodate people evacuated from flooded areas.
Health Minister Vishwajit Rane is monitoring the evacuation process.

Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant&nbsp;has&nbsp;tested positive for Covid-19. In a tweet, he confirmed the reports adding that he is&nbsp;asymptomatic and has opted for home isolation.
He added that he will continue to discharge his duties working from home. He urged those who came in contact with him to take necessary precautions.
On Tuesday, he held a meeting via video conference with officers in charge of COVID-19 care centers in Goa and reviewed the functioning of the centres.
