Political strategist Prashant Kishor has sent out a tweet challenging those who are predicting a win for INDIA Bloc.&nbsp;
On X, the much-sought analyst chided his critics asking them to drink water as it keeps both mind and body hydrated. Kishore wrote and I quote: those who are rattled with my assessment of the outcome of this election must keep plenty of water handy on June 4th.&nbsp;
Many believe that his tweet came after he was asked about some of his wrong poll predictions. Journalist Karan Thapar, who has interviewed Kishor for The Wire had reminded the Bihar-born of his predictions which didn't come true.&nbsp;
In the last part of his tweet, Kishor reminded his critics and followers of his predictions which have come true.&nbsp;
"Drinking water is good as it keeps both mind and body hydrated. Those who are RATTLED with my assessment of the outcome of this election must keep plenty of water handy on June 4th. Remember, 02nd May, 2021 and #West Bengal!!," he posted on X.

Election strategist Prashant Kishor has predicted victory for the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi party in the ongoing Lok Sabha polls.
In an interview with NDTV, Kishor credited the BJP for shifting the election discourse to '400 paar' instead of just crossing the halfway mark in the Lower House.&nbsp;
"In the last three-four months, the discussion has centred around '370' and '400 paar'. Consider it a BJP strategy or Opposition's weakness, but the BJP has entirely shifted the goalpost from 272 to 370. This has benefitted the BJP. Now, no one is saying Modi ji will lose, they are saying they may not get 370 seats," Kishor said.
Voting for 543 seats of the Lok Sabha is being held in seven phases, with five of them already complete. The results will be declared on June 4.

Kishor suggested that for the BJP to lose power at the Centre, they would need to lose 100 seats in North and West India as this is where the party's strength lies.

In an interview with RTV Andhra Pradesh, political strategist Prashant Kishor predicted a "massive advantage" for the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, though he asserted the BJP could "never win 400 seats."&nbsp;
Amid the ongoing intense battle between the NDA candidates and INDIA alliance candidates, Kishor suggested that for the BJP to lose power at the Centre, they would need to lose 100 seats in North and West India and fail to gain any in the East and South.&nbsp;
Explaining numbers and concept Kishor highlighted that the BJP has the most numbers of seats in North and West India, however, the party would not feel a huge dent from East and South states---ie, Bihar, West Bengal, Assam, Odisha, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Kerala as the saffron party has less than 50 seats out of 240 Lok Sabha seats.
Further, Kishor explained that the BJP's current strength lies in its 260-270 seats from the North and West and that they could not lose power unless they faced a significant defeat in these regions.&nbsp;
He emphasised that it was all &ldquo;guesswork&rdquo; and doubted a significant decline in NDA and BJP numbers.&nbsp;
He also noted that the BJP's vote share and seats are rising in the East and South, making a loss of 100 seats unlikely.
Kishor concluded that even potential setbacks in Rajasthan and Maharashtra would be offset by gains elsewhere.

Political analyst Prashant Kishor in an interview said that the Bharatiya Janata Party will get seats in the 300 range in the Lok Sabha elections 2024. He further said that there will be no such decline in the BJP's tally in the general elections.&nbsp;
Quoting an interview with RTV, Business Today reported on May 15 about Kishor's latest prediction. He said, "After all commentaries and debates, I don't see any meaningful decline in the BJP's seats in North and West. The BJP's vote share and seats will increase in the South and East. If you add this, what BJP has today is about 300 seats, I don't see any major change in that - positively and negatively."
The political analyst said there will be minimal losses for the BJP in North and West. He further said that there will be gains for BJP in West Bengal, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, and Andhra Pradesh.&nbsp;
Kishor also talked about the INDIA bloc and said that the opposition is not weak but the parties contesting against the BJP seem so.&nbsp;

Political strategist Prashant Kishor, who predicted weeks earlier that Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar would switch to BJP, has come out with another premonition.
While talking to reporters on January 28, hours before the swearing-in ceremony, Kishor prophesied that the JD(U)-BJP alliance would collapse before the 2025 assembly polls.
&ldquo;Nitish Kumar&rsquo;s volte-face is no surprise. I had been saying that he would not remain with the Mahagathbandhan ever since he had joined the combine,&rdquo; Kishor told reporters in Begusarai district. He is touring as part of his &lsquo;Jan Suraaj&rsquo; campaign, reports PTI news agency.
&ldquo;I make another prediction and you can catch me if I am proven wrong. The alliance that has been formed will not last till the assembly polls. In fact, it may come apart within a few months of the Lok Sabha polls,&rdquo; he said.
He said that the BJP might have run some permutations and combinations in view of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections that made them join hands with Kumar.
&nbsp;"Today&rsquo;s development proves that if Nitish is &lsquo;palturam&rsquo; (weathercock), Narendra Modi and Amit Shah are no different. The BJP seems to have made a calculation in view of the upcoming Lok Sabha polls. But it will pay a huge price in the assembly polls due next year,&rdquo; Kishore said.
Kishor, who has professionally worked with PM Modi and the JD(U) supremo, said that the BJP would find it difficult to convince voters why it sided with Kumar despite having said that its doors were closed for him.
Nitish Kumar, on the other hand, told reporters after taking oath that he will remain the BJP.
"I was with them (NDA) earlier too. We went on different paths, but now we are together and will remain so. Today, eight people have taken oath as ministers, the rest will take oath soon. Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Sinha have been appointed as Deputy Chief Ministers," he said. &nbsp;

Days after Bihar CM Nitish Kumar said next Bihar Assembly elections will be fought under Tejashwi Yadav, poll strategist Prashant Kishor on Saturday said there is no need to wait till 2025 and Kumar should hand over the reins of the state to the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) scion.
Kishor also seemed to take a swipe at Nitish Kumar in reminding him it is the RJD and not the JD(U) that is the largest party in the state Assembly.
Kumar's JD(U) broke alliance with the BJP led NDA in August to form a new government in Bihar with Tejashwi Yadav who steered the RJD led 'grand alliance', to an impressive electoral performance in 2020 assembly polls.&nbsp;

The IPAC founder, who has been sceptical of a united opposition's efficacy in halting the Narendra Modi juggernaut, emphasised that one cannot defeat the BJP unless one understands what it is.

Political strategist turned activist Prashant Kishor on Sunday compared the BJP-RSS combine to a cup of coffee in which the party was like the frothy top and the parent body was the real thing underneath.
Kishor, who is on a 3,500 kilometres long "pada-yatra" in Bihar, came up with the colourful analogy at Lauria in West Champaran district which he has been covering on foot since October 2.
Kishor lamented that it took him long to realise that "the ideology of (Nathuram) Godse can be defeated only by reviving Gandhi&rsquo;s Congress" and "it would have been better had I worked in that direction instead of helping people like Nitish Kumar and Jagan Mohan Reddy realise their ambitions".
The IPAC founder, who has been sceptical of a united opposition's efficacy in halting the Narendra Modi juggernaut, emphasised that one cannot defeat the BJP unless one understands what it is.
"Have you ever looked at a cup of coffee? There is froth at the top. BJP is like that. Below that there is the deep structure of the RSS. The Sangh has wormed its way into the social fabric. It cannot now be beaten with shortcuts," said Kishor.
The political strategist's first claim to fame was his handling of Modi's poll campaign in the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, a spectacular success that helped the BJP get a majority on its own.

Kishor also continued to hurl barbs at Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, whose JD(U) has been calling him a "BJP agent".
"I was the JD(U) national vice president when the nation was on the boil against CAA-NPR-NRC. I was appalled to learn that MPs of my party had voted in favour of the Citizenship Amendment Bill in Parliament," recalled the 45-year-old, often perceived to be as ideologically agnostic.
"I confronted Nitish Kumar, who was then our national president. He claimed he was away on a tour and not aware of the development but glibly assured me that he will not allow NRC in Bihar. The duplicity made me realise I cannot work with this man," said Kishor who was expelled from JD(U) over the spat with Kumar.
Kishor, whose much-anticipated entry into the Congress could not fructify last year despite meetings with its top leaders, hinted that he still admired the organisation but in its old avatar under the leadership of Mahatma Gandhi.
"Godse's ideology can be defeated only by reviving the Congress of Gandhi," said Kishor, in an oblique reference to alleged RSS links of the Mahatma's assassin.

Nitish Kumar's dinner meet with poll strategist Prashant Kishor has set the rumour mill abuzz with speculations on a major political shake-up after the results of Assembly elections in five states.
There is speculation that in case of an unfavourable result for the BJP in the state elections, Nitish Kumar may snap ties with the BJP to be the joint opposition candidate in Presidential polls likely to be held in June-July this year.
A loss for BJP in UP and Uttarakhand is likely to give fillip to opposition ranks in the Presidential contest.
While both Prashant Kishor and Nitish Kumar described the meeting as a courtesy call, but the political symbolism was not lost on anyone given Kishor's efforts to bring opposition together against the BJP.
Since coming back to power with a diminished strength, Nitish Kumar has been facing criticism from BJP leaders on a number of issues.
The meeting has also come amid efforts by Telangana CM K Chandrashekhara Rao and West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee to firm up an alliance of regional outfits against the BJP for the 2024 battle.
