While personal preferences and circumstances differ, a recent scientific study has shed light on the ideal age for women to give birth. This research highlights the optimal biological and psychological conditions for pregnancy, providing valuable insights for individuals and couples planning to embark on the journey of parenthood.
According to researchers at Semmelweis University in Budapest, Hungary, the best age to give birth to a child is between 23 and 32. &nbsp;This finding was published in the journal BJOG: an International Journal of Obstetrics &amp; Gynaecology.
The research was conducted by a team of renowned scientists who analyzed data from thousands of women across different age groups.
Dr Boglarka Petho, assistant professor at Semmelweis University and the first author of the study said, "First, we tried to determine the ten-year age period during which the fewest such congenital abnormalities occurred. We found that between 23 and 32 can be the ideal age for giving birth. Then we identified the age groups where the risk is higher compared to this safest period"
It was further mentioned in the study that women between the ages of 23 and 32 are likely to experience the highest chances of a healthy pregnancy. This age range was found to be associated with a decreased risk of pregnancy complications such as gestational diabetes, hypertension, and preterm birth while maintaining optimal fertility levels.

Published in the Journal of the Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology, the study&nbsp;builds on decades of research on rodent models that claim that&nbsp;adding extra choline to the maternal diet produces long term cognitive benefits for the offspring.&nbsp;
The findings suggest that the current recommended choline intake for expectant mothers does not fully meet the needs of the foetal brain. As a nutrient, choline&nbsp;is&nbsp;found in foods such as meats, fish, nuts, beans, vegetables, and eggs.

According to a recent study, COVID-19 of mild to moderate severity in pregnant women appears to have no effect on the brain of the developing fetus.

According to a recent study, COVID-19 of mild to moderate severity in pregnant women appears to have no effect on the brain of the developing fetus. The study was presented at the annual meeting of the Radiological Society of North America.
Researchers used fetal MRI to study 33 patients with COVID-19 infection during pregnancy. The patients were roughly 28 weeks into their pregnancies, with symptom onset occurring at 18 weeks into the pregnancy. The most common symptoms were loss or a reduced sense of smell and taste, dry cough, fever and shortness of breath.
Two board-certified radiologists with several years of experience in fetal MRI evaluated the scans. They found that the brain development in the assessed areas was age-appropriate in all fetuses. There were no findings indicative of infection of the fetal brain.
There was no evidence that a maternal COVID infection has any effect on the brain development of the unborn child. However, active protection against SARS-CoV-2 infection during pregnancy remains important.
