A dreadful incident has been captured on camera from Vasai road railway station. A man can be seen fleeing in hurry with his two kids while his wife's body, a few steps away, lay stranded on the platform. 
The man was later nabbed by Thane police who prevented him boarding a train to Dadar in Mumbai.
The woman died on the spot and her mutilated body was later sent for postmortem, police said.
The CCTV footage from early Monday morning shows the man waking her wife up and then dragging her to the platform edge only to push her in front of the moving train.
A case was registered against the man under Section 302 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code, the official said.
The now viral video from Maharashtra's Palghar has a woman  sleeping with her kids before her husband asked her to wake up.
A senior police official revealed the woman had gone out for two days with a friend of her husband which annoyed him and both had a quarrel over it, prior to the incident.

The man is then seen fleeing in hurry with his two kids while his wife's body, a few steps away, lay stranded on the platform.&nbsp;
