Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday laid the foundation stone for All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Rajkot in Gujarat. The project will mean generation of thousands of jobs, good health care and development of Gujarat, the PM said. Over 201 acres of land has been allotted for the institute, which will be built at an estimated cost of ₹1,195 crore and is expected to be completed by mid-2022. The state-of-the-art 750-bed hospital will also have a 30-bed AYUSH block. It will have 125 MBBS seats and 60 nursing seats, the PMO said.

Rashtriya Kamdhenu Aayog chairman Vallabhbhai Kathiria unveiled a ''chip'' made of cow dung and claimed that it reduces radiation from mobile handsets and it will also protect against diseases. Speaking at the launch of a nationwide campaign ''Kamdhenu Deepawali Abhiyan'', which is aimed at promoting cow dung products, Kathiria said: "Cow dung will protect everyone, it is anti-radiation... It is scientifically proven...This is a radiation chip that can be used in mobile phones to reduce radiation." Hear it to believe it.

10-yr-old dresses as Gandhi, gets himself tested for Covid-19

To spread awareness on the importance of getting tested for the novel coronavirus, a 10-year-old boy, Vihan Vora, in Rajkot dressed up as Mahatma Gandhi and got himself tested for the deadly virus at the Rashtriya Shala.
He also got his temperature checked and hands sanitised before entering the hall. 'Test is best', the young Bapu said, as he urged citizens to get tested without fear, also stating it was the only way to free the country from the disease.
Every year, a rally is organised on Gandhi Jayanti. However, owing to the Covid-19 outbreak this year, it was decided to the occasion&nbsp;would be marked&nbsp;by spreading awareness on the virus.
