<p>Actor Ranveer Singh&rsquo;s film &lsquo;Rakshas&rsquo; with director Prasanth Varma has been shelved. Ranveer and the makers recently issued a statement, revealing that the film is not happening. However, they also assured fans of a potential exciting collaboration in the future.</p>

<p>This news comes days after it was reported that Ranveer opted out of Prasanth&rsquo;s &lsquo;Rakshas&rsquo; due to creative differences.</p>
<p>&lsquo;Ranveer had travelled to Hyderabad in April for a photo shoot to announce the film. While all the plans were set, the official announcement has now hit a roadblock. Ranveer Singh will no longer be a part of Prashanth Varma&rsquo;s Rakshas. They have amicably parted ways due to creative differences,&rsquo; a source told Pinkvilla.</p>
<p>Another report by Times Now claimed that Ranveer walked out of the project three days after shooting with the Hanu-Man director. The report stated that Ranveer had &lsquo;pursued&rsquo; Prasanth for Rakshas, as the director had no immediate plans to start filming. Prasanth was initially planning another Telugu project after Hanu-Man, but postponed it due to Ranveer's &lsquo;enthusiasm&rsquo; for the film.</p>
<p>Later, Prasanth confirmed that Ranveer came to his office with his &lsquo;whole caravan&rsquo; and even did a look test for Rakshas. He told Amar Ujala, &lsquo;Yes, Ranveer Singh has his own style. He came to the office with a whole caravan. But, the way of working in the South is different. Here, everyone works as a team. No one ever tries to impose any kind of authority on anyone&rsquo;</p>
<p>However, the director declined to comment on rumours regarding creative differences.</p>
<p>&lsquo;The talk of me taking three-four days to shoot for half an hour is unfounded. We completed his look test efficiently. I&rsquo;m not sure where these rumors originated, and I prefer not to dwell on them,&rsquo; he said.</p>

<p>The Maharashtra police cyber cell has filed an FIR against a user for allegedly uploading a deepfake or manipulated video showing actor Ranveer Singh endorsing the Congress party, according to an official.</p>
<p>The official added that the FIR was lodged on April 23 based on a complaint filed by the actor's father, Jagjit Singh Bhavnani, against the user @sujataindia1st.</p>
<p>According to the complaint, Ranveer Singh praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi in an interview with the media while he was in Varanasi to promote a fashion show. The actor reportedly stated that it is Modi ji's goal to celebrate India's rich culture and heritage as the country moves towards modernity.</p>
<p>However, the FIR alleges that the user @sujataindia1st created a deepfake video in which Singh is falsely portrayed as saying that Modi ji's goal is to highlight India's struggles with life, fear, and unemployment, and urges people to vote for the Congress party.</p>
<p>In the complaint, Ranveer Singh's father clarified that the actor never made such statements and has no affiliation with any political party.</p>
<p>The FIR was filed under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code, including 417 (cheating), 468 (forgery for cheating), and 469 (forgery to harm reputation), as well as provisions of the Information Technology Act, according to the official.</p>
<p>The police are conducting further investigations into the matter.</p>

<p>Ranveer Singh has reacted to his deep-fake video, which saw the actor criticising the Narendra Modi-led government at the centre. The actor took to his Instagram story to drop a cautionary message for fans. He wrote, &ldquo;Deepfake se bacho dostonnnn (Beware of deepfake, friends).&rdquo; The video that had gone viral earlier was from his recent visit to Varanasi for designer Manish Malhotra's fashion show. He was also joined by Kriti Sanon for the trip.&nbsp;</p>
<p>In the original video, the 'Simmba' actor lauded PM Modi's vision. However, in the AI-synthesised version, he was seen criticising the BJP government, while urging to vote for Congress.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Actors Ranveer Singh and Kriti Sanon participated in a fashion show curated by ace fashion designer Manish Malhotra in Varanasi. The event was based on the theme 'Banarasi Saree: A tapestry of Indian culture and Craftsmen'.</p>
<p>Kriti looked stunning in a red traditional lenhenga, while Ranveer looked dapper in a purple and gold brocade sherwani.</p>
