Actor Rhea Chakraborty, who spent almost a month in Byculla jail in connection with drugs case related to the death of her boyfriend Sushant Singh Rajput, mentioned that she danced with co-prisoners on the last day.
At the recent India Today Conclave, Rhea spoke about her time in jail and said, &lsquo;You start viewing yourself as nothing. You are a number. You have to do as told. You have to eat when told, you have to stand when told and that in itself is a very humbling experience for anyone who goes through it.&rsquo;
She also shared that the experience of being in jail feels like 'you are falling from the sky into an abyss of nothingness and there&rsquo;s just black around you.&rsquo;
She then said that many women who were there did not have the kind of family support that she had and did not have the &lsquo;media glare&rsquo; that her case had at the time &lsquo;which has its cons, but the pros is that your case will be seen, will be heard. There will be a time for your story to be told as well. In that situation, I saw women suffering far worse than me being the happiest people I have ever seen. You are given a few moments of happiness in your life, snatch them. That&rsquo;s what I learnt from jail.&rsquo;
Rhea added that the motto should be &lsquo;innocent until proven guilty, not guilty until proven innocent.&rsquo;
Rhea was then asked about her last day in jail and shared that she put up a small dance performance for her co-prisoners.
&lsquo;The day I got bail, my brother did not get bail and I was devastated. It was the only day that I broke down entirely in jail,&rsquo; she recalled.
Rhea said that she had previously promised the other prisoners that she would dance for them when she got her bail but at this point, she did not have the heart for it. But as she walked away, she thought about the joy it would bring to the women there and she gave in.
Sushant Singh Rajput died in June 2020 and in the following weeks, there was an intense media trial and Rhea was at the centre of it. She spent around six weeks in jail, following which, she got her bail.

A relief for Rhea Chakraborty as the Narcotics Control Bureau has decided not to challenge her bail in the drugs case associated with actor Sushant Singh Rajput&rsquo;s death.
 Rhea took to Instagram Stories shortly after NCB&rsquo;s statement to the Supreme Court and shared a video with the caption, &lsquo;Gratitude&rsquo; along with a folded hands emoji.
 According to news agency PTI, Additional Solicitor General S V Raju on July 18 told a bench of Justices A S Bopanna and M M Sundresh that NCB is not challenging the bail but the question of law should be kept open with regard to Section 27-A of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
 Taking note of the submission by the ASG, SC clarified that the HC judgment shall not be treated as a precedent in any other case.
 &lsquo;Having heard the ASG, at this stage the challenge to the impugned order in so far as grant of bail may not be required. However, the question of law raised is left open to be considered in an appropriate case and as such the judgement may not be treated as precedent in any other case,&rsquo; the bench said.
 Rhea is charged under Section 27-A of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act which pertains to &lsquo;financing and harbouring illegal drug trafficking&rsquo;.
 She was accused and charged with buying and financing a small quantity of marijuana.
 Meanwhile, Rhea Chakraborty made her comeback on screen with &lsquo;Roadies 19&rsquo;. She is one of the gang leaders on the show.

Leaders of the ruling coalition of BJP and Eknath Shinde's Shiv Sena camp on 22 December 2022 staged a demonstration, seeking an investigation.
They demanded an inquiry into Shiv Sena MP Rahul Shewale's claim that a person with the initials 'AU' had made several phone calls to actor Rhea Chakraborty, who was the girlfriend of Sushant Singh Rajput.
A day earlier, Shewale, who is part of Shinde's camp, flagged in the Lok Sabha the issue of alleged suicide of Rajput and asked about the status of the CBI's inquiry into his death.
Legislator Pratap Sarnaik, also part of the Shinde camp, said Shewale had claimed there were 44 phone calls from 'AU' to Chakraborty.

According to news agency PTI, the Narcotics Control Bureau has filed draft charges against the actor, her brother, and others in a special court in connection with a drugs case linked to Sushant's death.  According to the report, the prosecution has proposed to charge Rhea and Showik for consumption of narcotic substances and for procuring such substances for the late actor. 
Atul Sarpande, the special public prosecutor, said the prosecution maintained charges against all accused as per the chargesheet filed before the court, according to the report. 
As per PTI, Sarpande stated that the court said they will frame charges only after the discharge pleas are decided. 
Rhea, Showik, and other accused were present before the court on Wednesday. Special judge V G Raghuwanshi, hearing cases pertaining to the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, posted the matter for hearing on July 12.

Rhea Chakraborty took to social media to pay tribute to late actor Sushant Singh Rajput on his second death anniversary on June 14. The 'Chehre' actor shared some unseen pictures of Sushant in an Instagram post, simply captioned, 'Miss you every day.' Rhea and Sushant dated for a few years before the 'Kai Po Che!' actor's sudden death.
Sara Ali Khan, who made her Bollywood debut with 'Kedarnath,' co-starring Sushant, also shared an emotional post for the actor and thanked him for giving her special 'moments and memories.' In her post, Sara mentioned that many of her firsts happened because of Sushant such as facing the camera and seeing Jupiter and Moon through the telescope.
Sanjana Sanghi, who co-starred with Sushant in his last film 'Dil Bechara,' also remembered the late actor in her Instagram Stories and wrote, 'We miss you.'
