Reacting to Richard Carpenter's video, Keeravani wrote, &lsquo;This is something I didn't expect at all. Tears rolling out of joy. Most wonderful gift from the Universe.&rsquo;

MM Keeravani, music composer of &lsquo;RRR&rsquo;s Oscar-winning song &lsquo;Naatu Naatu&rsquo;, paid tribute to The Carpenters by singing his version of &lsquo;Top Of The World&rsquo; in his acceptance speech at the 95th Academy Awards. He has now received a special reply from singer Richard Carpenter.
Richard shared a video on Instagram in which he, along with his daughters can be seen performing to a rejigged version of &lsquo;Top Of The World&rsquo; with the lyrics, &lsquo;We're on the top of the world for your winning creation and we hope you know how proud of you we are. You're the best there is around and we hope you know it now, your win puts us at the top of the world.&rsquo;
Sharing the video, he wrote, &lsquo;To @mmkeeravani_official and @chandraboselyricist: Heartfelt congratulations on your win for Best Original Song. Here is a little something from our family to you and yours.&rsquo;
After seeing the video from Richard Carpenter, Keeravani shared it on Instagram stories and wrote, &lsquo;This is something I didn't expect at all. Tears rolling out of joy. Most wonderful gift from the Universe (sic).&rsquo;
SS Rajamouli, a proud brother, also shared the video and wrote, &lsquo;Sir @richardcarpenterofficial, throughout this Oscar campaign, my brother maintained a calm composure whether it is before winning or after he didn't let his emotions out. But, the moment he saw this, he couldn't control the tears rolling down his cheeks. Most memorable moment four our family. Thank you so much (sic).&rsquo;
On the Oscar stage,<a href="https://www.editorji.com/entertainment-news/rrr-s-naatu-naatu-wins-oscar-mm-keeravani-s-speech-ram-charan-jr-ntr-s-emotional-moment-goes-viral-1678695279564"> MM Keeravaani</a> said, &lsquo;I grew up listening to The Carpenters, here I am with the Oscars,&rdquo; He then broke into a parody of The Carpenters song &ldquo;On Top of the World&rdquo;, &ldquo;There was only one wish on my mind, so was Rajamouli&rsquo;s and my family&rsquo;s, RRR has to win, pride of every Indian and must put me on top of the world.&rsquo;
Singers Kaala Bhairava and Rahul Sipligunj performed &lsquo;Naatu Naatu&rsquo; live onstage during the Oscar ceremony. Their performance received a standing ovation from the audience.
