And when an X user pointed out the same in a tweet, the fan faced severe backlash for misconstruing Rishab&rsquo;s statement.&nbsp; At the conference, Rishab said that he didn&rsquo;t want to be the person who leaves the Kannada film industry after giving one hit.&nbsp; The fan had to later correct himself and he also shared his apologies. Rishab reshared the tweet and wrote, &ldquo;No problem, ☺️ finally someone understood what I really meant to say.&rdquo;&nbsp; For the unversed, there have been rumours that a feud is going on between Rashmika and Rishab. After her engagement with Rakshit Shetty was called off, she transcended Kannada borders in her acting career. Rishab is currently working on Kantara 2, the prequel to the first part while Rashmika&rsquo;s &lsquo;Animal&rsquo; with Ranbir Kapoor released on December 1. A complaint was filed by the Kerala-based music band Thaikoodam Bridge claiming that the song &lsquo;Varaha Roopam&rsquo; in the movie was a product of the band and that the makers did not acknowledge that.

&lsquo;Kantara&rsquo;s actor-director Rishab Shetty and its producer, Vijay Krigandur Ahad, appeared before Kozhikode Deputy Commissioner of Police, K.E. Baiju, on Sunday after the Supreme Court granted anticipatory bail to them on February 9. They have given their statements before the police after a complaint was filed by the Kerala-based music band Thaikoodam Bridge claiming that a song in the movie was a product of the band and that the makers did not acknowledge that.
The band said the song &lsquo;Varaha Roopam&rsquo; was actually plagiarised from their song &lsquo;Navarasam&rsquo;. However, &lsquo;Kantara&rsquo;s music director B. Ajaneesh Loknath rejected the allegations stating that the similarities were due to the same &lsquo;Raga&rsquo; used in both songs.

The source added, 'Recently, Urvashi Rautela just happened to be on the same premises as Rishab Shetty, where she requested to meet the Kantara fame and he politely obliged. She posted the picture clicked with him with a cryptic caption, giving rise to these completely false rumours.'
Earlier, Urvashi Rutela shared a picture with Rishab Shetty on her Instagram and captioned her post, 'Kantara 2 loading' after this, the rumours of her being part of the film have taken the internet by storm.

Speaking at an event, he said that the sequel will actually be a prequel to whatever was shown in the first film. It is expected to go on floors later this year.

Actor-director Rishab Shetty&rsquo;s &lsquo;Kantara&rsquo; has been in the headlines following plagiarism allegations by the Kerala music band Thaikkudam Bridge. In October, the band pointed out that the song &lsquo;Varaha Roopam&rsquo; from the film was a copy of their song, &lsquo;Navarasam&rsquo; and had eventually moved to court against the makers.
The latest update now is that the plaints filed by Mathrubhumi Printing and Publishing Company Ltd (MPPCL) against the film's producer Hombale Films in Kozhikode as well as Palakkad district courts have been returned. Rishab Shetty also tweeted about it.
As per a report by Live Law, the plaint filed in Kozhikode court was returned on the ground that it has to be presented before the Commercial Court. In the case of the second plaint, the Palakkad court returned the plaint citing a lack of jurisdiction. It observed that the suit has to be filed before Kozhikode District Court as the registered office of MPPCL was in Kozhikode.
Sharing the news on Twitter, Rishab wrote in Kannada that they have won the Varaharoopam case with the blessings of the Gods and the love of the people. He added that they are going to change the song on the OTT platform very soon considering people's requests.

Rishab Shetty&rsquo;s &lsquo;Kantara&rsquo; made headlines recently after Kerala-based band Thaikkudam Bridge alleged that the song &lsquo;Varaha Roopam&rsquo; from the film was plagiarised from their song &lsquo;Navarasam&rsquo;. They even sought legal action against the song. The film was released on the OTT platform Prime Video on Thursday, November 24. Now, Thaikkudam Bridge took to their Facebook page and announced that &lsquo;Varaha Roopam&rsquo; has been removed from the film by Prime Video.

However, fans of the Rishab Shetty-starrer are disappointed as &lsquo;Varaha Roopam&rsquo; has been removed. Soon, the hashtag, #BringBackVarahaRoopam trended on Twitter with many pointing out that without the song, the film looks soul-less.

Actor-filmmaker Rishab Shetty is currently basking in the success of his latest release &lsquo;Kantara&rsquo;. In a recent interview, he revealed that he shot for the intense action sequence in the climax with both his shoulders dislocated.
In a conversation with IMDB, Rishab opened up about the scene and mentioned that the sequence was very difficult because it was a single shot with 360-degree shots and a rain effect. &lsquo;And it was difficult to carry water to that place. So, we asked villagers over there if we could draw water from the well there. The shoot went on for 6 to 7 days and we used the water from there. By the time, the shoot ended, the well&rsquo;s water had finished. It was pretty hectic,&rsquo; he said.
&lsquo;While rehearsing for that scene, I had an issue with my shoulder. During one 360 degree shot, I dislocated my shoulder. While shooting another sequence the next day, I dislocated the other shoulder too. Both my shoulders were dislocated but I continued to shoot,&rsquo; he added.

 It was made on a budget of Rs 15 crore and was expected to earn less than Rs 100 crore mark. On Sunday, the film beat &lsquo;KGF: Chapter 2&rsquo; by earning Rs 155 crore in net earnings within Karnataka.&nbsp;
 The action-thriller film is focused on Bhootha Kola, a traditional dance for the deity. It consists of topics such as man vs nature, rituals, land politics and many more. It is running over 1,000 screens worldwide. It has received huge appreciation from the audience as well as the critics.

'Kantara', also stars Sapthami Gowda, Kishore, and Achyuth Kumar,in pivotal roles and has earned over ₹325 crore at the box office globally. Varun also added that it's 'the best thing for Indian films to grow&rsquo; and they should work towards making Indian cinema as a whole shine.

Rishab Shetty&rsquo;s &lsquo;Kantara&rsquo; is all set to enter the Rs 300 crore club in worldwide collection. The film has received a lot of love from critics, audience and celebrities from different fields. Now, Rishab has revealed that the film was initially offered to late actor Puneeth Rajkumar but he couldn&rsquo;t come on board due to his busy schedule and other work commitments.
During his conversation with Masth Cinema YouTube channel, the actor-director said, &lsquo;It all happened in a blink of an eye. Soon after I narrated the story to him, he got very excited about the project. He wanted to explore different stories. But, his other projects continued to keep him away from Kantara. One day, he called me and asked me to go ahead with the film without him. He told me that if I waited for him, I may not be able to do the film that year.&rsquo;
Rishab further revealed that he met the late actor at the pre-release event of &lsquo;Bajarangi 2&rsquo; where he enquired about the project (Kantara).
&lsquo;He enquired me about the project and asked me not to compromise on my vision for the film. I showed him a few still pictures from the shoot. He was very happy for me. And he told me he was eager to watch the film,&rsquo; he said.

Puneeth Rajkumar was posthumously conferred with Karnataka&rsquo;s highest civilian award, Karnataka Ratna on November 1. He was honoured on the occasion of the 67th Kannada Rajyotsava (the state formation day).
Rajinikanth, who presided over the event as a chief guest, along with Karnataka chief minister Basavaraj Bommai and Jr NTR.
Remembering Puneeth as &lsquo;God&rsquo;s child&rsquo;, he also revealed why he couldn&rsquo;t attend his funeral, despite being very close to the family. An emotional Rajinikanth said wasn&rsquo;t in a position to travel due to his ill-health.

Now, the spiritual guru Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, who recently viewed Rishab Shetty's film, has appreciated it. A special screening was held at the Bangalore ashram of Art of Living for Sri Ravi Shankar.

Actor-director Rishab Shetty is currently basking in the success of his recently released Kannada film, 'Kantara', which was later dubbed into multiple languages. In a recent conversation with ETimes, the filmmaker turned down the idea of 'Kantara's Hindi remake as he felt that it is already dubbed in the language. But when asked if it had been made in Hindi, who would be suitable to play the character that he played? Rishab replied that to play such characters one has to believe in the roots and culture. He said there are many big actors in the Hindi film industry whom he admires. But he is not interested in remakes.
The actor also talked about South films working well and said, 'This is seasonal. Every industry goes through ups and downs. Maybe audiences don&rsquo;t bifurcate films as Bollywood, Sandalwood, etc anymore. People look at it as Indian cinema. Kantara is Kannada, regional, Indian cinema. The same goes for Hindi cinema. People are crossing the language barrier and watching content from all parts of India. Every film industry has made an immense contribution to Indian cinema.'
When asked about his reaction to #KantaraForOscars trend on social media, he said, 'I don&rsquo;t react to that. I just saw the 25000 tweets about that. It makes me happy but I don&rsquo;t comment on that. Because I didn&rsquo;t work for this success. I worked for work. That&rsquo;s all.'
