Asus is planning to add a new Dimensity 9000+ powered version to its gaming-focused ROG Phone 6 series.

The global release of the new Asus ROG Phone 6D Ultimate is scheduled for September 19, the Taiwanese manufacturer has officially confirmed.&nbsp;
The MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ SoC is confirmed to power the new gaming-focused smartphone. The flagship SoC features an ARM Cortex-X2 CPU with a maximum clock speed of 3.2GHz.&nbsp;
The forthcoming model will be a member of the Asus ROG Phone 6 line, which presently consists of the ROG Phone 6 and the ROG Phone 6 Pro, both of which have Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC.
It is expected that the ROG Phone 6D Ultimate will share the same design and specs as the other two variants.
The launch event will occur simultaneously in New York, Berlin, and Taipei at 5.30 PM IST.

Asus ROG Phone 6 will be one of the first phones to launch with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset.

The key specifications of the upcoming Asus ROG Phone 6 have been <a href="https://twitter.com/stufflistings/status/1539804472041406464">leaked on Twitter</a> ahead of its expected July 5 launch.
The leak suggests that the ROG Phone 6 will feature a 6.78-inch FHD+ OLED display with a refresh rate of 165Hz. It will also get upgraded gaming triggers.
It will be powered by Qualcomm&rsquo;s most powerful chip, the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. Users will reportedly get a maximum storage option of 18GB of RAM along with 1TB of internal storage.

The leak also reveals that while the primary camera of the phone will still be of 64MP resolution, it will feature certain enhancements, including the addition of optical image stabilisation for the very first time.
As always, we also expect a bunch of new gaming accessories to debut alongside the ROG Phone 6, which will expand the already big ecosystem of accessories that makes this phone series unique.
The battery capacity will be retained at 6,000mAh and so will be the 65W fast charging support of its predecessor.
Also, it will launch with Android 12 on the software front.
