Pop star Sabrina Carpenter has become a leader in rallying voter registrations ahead of the 2024 U.S. election, even surpassing Taylor Swift in the effort.
During her &lsquo;Short n' Sweet&rsquo; tour, Carpenter partnered with HeadCount, a nonprofit focused on encouraging voter participation, to register 35,814 new voters and engage an additional 263,087 people through innovative outreach methods.
Fans were encouraged to check their voter status and find polling locations, often with a chance to win concert tickets, VIP experiences, or participate in in-person voter activations at her shows.
Video board messages and concert mailers from HeadCount further amplified these voter engagement efforts, turning each concert stop into an opportunity to motivate young voters.
This initiative is part of a larger HeadCount campaign which teamed up with over 100 popular musicians, including Green Day and Ariana Grande, to register over 450,000 new voters in 2024.
Green Day's Saviors Tour set an impressive record, registering 7,900 new voters and engaging 61,000 more with HeadCount&rsquo;s in-person booths.
HeadCount&rsquo;s Executive Director, Lucille Wenegieme, highlighted the significance of these partnerships, explaining that artists connect deeply with their fans. This personal connection, especially strong among Gen Z, allows artists to inspire fans to take civic action. Wenegieme emphasized that fan loyalty to musicians can sometimes even surpass political affiliations, making artists powerful advocates for voting.
The campaign&rsquo;s impact wasn&rsquo;t limited to concerts; HeadCount utilized mailers, giveaways, and online resources to reach fans. To build excitement around voter engagement, Carpenter's collaboration with HeadCount included a sweepstakes for her Nov. 9 show in San Francisco, with lucky fans getting flown out for the concert.
HeadCount&rsquo;s successful outreach in 2024 underscores the rising influence of artists in the democratic process. With over 3 million people engaged across various campaigns, the organization has proven that cultural influencers can play a vital role in motivating young people to participate in elections, shaping not just entertainment but the future of civic life.

The &lsquo;Espresso&rsquo; singer made a stop in Georgia on October 23 as part of her Short &lsquo;n Sweet Tour, where the Stranger Things star was spotted in the front row.
In a TikTok video, Carpenter chose Brown for a special segment of her show where she humorously &lsquo;arrests&rsquo; someone for being too attractive.
&lsquo;Guys, hold on a second, I&rsquo;m really distracted because I see this gorgeous girl. Can you come out here?&rsquo; the &lsquo;Please Please Please&rsquo; singer said while calling over two of her dancers. &lsquo;I fell, and I can&rsquo;t get up. This girl is so hot. Who are you? What&rsquo;s your name?&rsquo;
When the camera shifted to the audience, it revealed that Brown was the focus of Carpenter&rsquo;s attention, leading to thunderous applause from thousands of fans as she attempted to shout her name. Red and blue police lights then flashed around the venue, accompanied by the phrase, &lsquo;You&rsquo;re under arrest for being too hot.[&lsquo;

The singer-songwriter launched her Short &lsquo;n Sweet Tour on September 23 in Columbus, Ohio, with plans to wrap up in Milan on March 26, 2025.
Meanwhile, Brown is currently in Atlanta filming the fifth and final season of Stranger Things, which began production earlier this year.
