<p>Mumbai Police have arrested a 20-year-old youth from Noida for allegedly making threat calls to Salman Khan and Baba Siddiqui&rsquo;s son, Zeeshan Siddiqui. The caller has been identified as Mohammad Tayyab alias Gurfan. According to reports, Zeeshan and Salman received the threat calls on October 25, following which a case was registered based on a complaint by Siddiqui&rsquo;s office. The accused made a demand of a ransom from the Bollywood star and NCP MLA. &nbsp;&nbsp;</p>
<p>The accused was arrested from Noida Sector 39 on Tuesday morning. The Mumbai Police would be bringing the youth to the city on a transit remand for further investigation.&nbsp;</p>
<p>On October 12, Baba Siddiqui, a close friend of Salman Khan and the former minister of Maharashtra, was shot dead allegedly by the members of Lawrence Bishnoi gang. 15 people have been arrested in connection with the murder so far.&nbsp;</p>
<p>Earlier, Mumbai Police arrested a vegetable seller from Jamshedpur, Jharkhand for sending a threat letter to Salman Khan in the name of Lawrence Bishnoi and demanding a ransom of Rs 5 crore. &nbsp;</p>

The accused is a vegetable seller by profession and threatened the Bollywood star on October 18. He has been identified as 24-year-old Shaikh Hussain. &nbsp;</p>
<p>He also demanded a ransom of Rs 5 crore in the name of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. The arrest follows an investigation by Mumbai Police. &ldquo;With the help of local police in Jamshedpur, we tracked and arrested the person responsible for the threat. He will be brought to Mumbai for further questioning,&rdquo; said the police spokesperson.&nbsp;</p>
<p>In the threat message, the accused had written that if Salman Khan wants to stay alive and end the enmity with Lawrence Bishnoi, he will have to pay Rs 5 crore. He said that it was sent by mistake.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Actor Salman Khan has voiced grave concerns regarding the shooting incident that took place at his Bandra residence on April 14, reportedly involving individuals associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.</p>
<p>In a statement given to the Mumbai crime branch, Salman Khan highlighted the potential danger the incident poses to himself and his family members, urging the police not to downplay its significance.</p>
<p>The police have also taken a statement from Arbaaz Khan, Salman Khan's younger brother, concerning the shooting incident.</p>
<p>As per a senior official, the actor and his family were at their home in Galaxy Apartment, Bandra West, when the assailants discharged five to six rounds. Salman Khan informed the authorities that he was awakened by the sound of the gunshots. After checking, he went to the balcony and found no one present outside.</p>
<p>A short while later, the security personnel stationed at the building came to his residence and briefed him on the occurrences outside. The actor recounted the entire sequence in his statement, asserting that the Lawrence Bishnoi gang had unfairly singled him out, the official added.</p>
<p>Arbaaz, in his statement to the police, mentioned, &lsquo;Previously, there was a threatening note left outside our home, and members of the Bishnoi gang conducted surveillance at our Panvel farmhouse. This (shooting) marks the third incident, and it's imperative for the police to treat it with seriousness.&rsquo;</p>
<p>It has now been revealed that Salman Khan was asked approximately 150 questions. According to police sources, a four-member team from the crime branch visited Khan&rsquo;s residence at noon on June 4, 2024. They reportedly spent four hours recording Salman&rsquo;s statement.</p>
<h3><strong>About the case</strong></h3>
<p>During the early hours of April 14, two assailants on a motorcycle discharged 5-6 rounds at the actor's residence before fleeing the city. Thus far, the police have apprehended six individuals in connection with the shooting.</p>
<p>On May 14, law enforcement arrested the sixth suspect, Harpal Singh, alias Harry, aged 25, from Haryana. He was involved in financing the shooters. The other detainees include Mohammed Rafiq Sardar Choudhari, along with two gunmen, Vicky Kumar Gupta, aged 25, and Sagar Kumar Pal, aged 24. Anuj Thapan, aged 32, who was under the custody of the Crime Branch, died by suicide on May 1. Additionally, Sonu Subhashchandra Bishnoi, aged 37, from Punjab, was apprehended. According to police reports, on March 15, Thapan and Sonu Bishnoi met Gupta and Pal in Panvel and provided them with two pistols and 38 live rounds, which were utilized in the shooting incident at the actor's residence.</p>
<p>According to police statements, Choudhari had been in communication with Rohit Godara, an associate of Lawrence Bishnoi, and had recorded a video of Salman's residence on April 12. The crime branch has seized Choudhari's cellphone and, with the help of technical specialists, retrieved several deleted videos and photos. Upon further interrogation, Choudhari confessed to receiving ₹3 lakh in cash from a Bishnoi gang member. <p>Salman Khan will next be seen in 'Sikandar', directed by A R Murugadoss. The film was officially announced on Eid in April. Now, as per the latest update, the actor is all set to kick-start the film's shooting on June 18. Rashmika Mandanna will also star in the film.&nbsp;</p>
<h3><strong>Makers tease 'biggest air action sequence'&nbsp;</strong></h3>
<p>The makers of 'Sikandar' have finally shared a schedule update, bringing cheers to Salman Khan's fans, who have eagerly been anticipating his return to the silver screen. Taking to their Instagram handle, Nadiadwala Grandson revealed that the first schedule of the forthcoming film is set to begin on June 18. Along with the big announcement, the makers also promised that the film will be an action extravaganza, teasing the 'biggest air action sequence'. &ldquo;#NGEFamily is super excited to share the date of our first day of shoot for #Sikandar on the 18th of June with the BIGGEST Air Action sequence!&rdquo; the caption read.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Salman Khan announced his upcoming film 'Sikandar' with AR Murugadoss on Eid earlier this year. In an Instagram update, the actor wrote, &ldquo;Iss Eid Bade Miyan Chote Miyan aur Maidaan ko dekho aur agli Eid Sikandar se aa kar milo&hellip;. Wish u all Eid Mubarak!&rdquo;</p>
<p>Rashmika Mandanna also took to her Instagram account to confirm the film. She wrote, "You guys for a long time have been asking me for the next update and here it is. Surprise!! I&rsquo;m truly grateful and honoured to be a part of Sikandar.&rdquo;</p>
<p>'Sikandar' will be released in theatres on Eid 2025.&nbsp;</p>
