<p>New year and new phones, Samsung just unveiled its newest lineup of smartphones during its galaxy unpacked event and I&rsquo;ve got early hands-on access with the devices. So we're going to tell you everything we know about them and what new updates they bring.</p>
<p>Ok, so as always, you&rsquo;ve got three options: the S25, S25 Plus, and the showstopper, the S25 Ultra. All three pack 12GB of RAM, smooth 120Hz AMOLED 2X displays, and 12MP selfie shooters. But the biggest difference between the three models is the cameras.</p>
<p>The S25 and S25 Plus stick to a familiar triple-camera setup with a 50MP main, 12MP ultrawide, and 10MP telephoto lenses. The S25 Ultra, though, features a new 50MP ultrawide camera, upgraded from last year&rsquo;s 12MP, for sharper group shots and enhanced landscapes. It retains the 200MP main camera and adds a 50MP periscope telephoto lens and a 10MP telephoto. Samsung even showed off its AI zoom features, and they looked seriously impressive.</p>
<p>The Ultra also stands out with its size. It has a slightly bigger 6.9-inch screen, making it the largest in the lineup. It keeps the same 5,000mAh battery as last year but introduces a new flat-frame design with rounded edges, a departure from the sharper corners of the S24 Ultra. The titanium frame with the improved Corning Gorilla Armor 2 adds extra durability, and it&rsquo;s lighter and thinner this time.&nbsp;</p>
<p>As expected, the Ultra comes with the iconic S Pen, but there aren&rsquo;t any noticeable upgrades there. The color options for the Ultra include Titanium Silver Blue, Titanium Black, Titanium White Silver, and Titanium Gray, while the S25 and S25 Plus offer shades like Navy, Silver Shadow, Icy Blue, and Mint.</p>
<p>Now all three phones will be running on the Snapdragon 8 Elite and guess what India is getting the same variant and of course we already tested the Snapdragon 8 Elite in phones like iQOO 13 on the OnePlus 13 and also of course the Realme GT 7 Pro, so you can expect some killer performance from the S25 Ultra and the other S25 phones running the same chipset.</p>
<p>Performance-wise, all three phones run Android 15 with One UI 7. Samsung&rsquo;s Galaxy AI integration adds some cool features, like the Audio Eraser that can automatically isolate sounds from different sources in a video. It&rsquo;s a neat touch, especially for content creators.</p>
<p>Overall, the new lineup looks great, but the hardware upgrades feel more like small tweaks than major leaps. Also, Samsung announced the Indian prices; the lineup starts at ₹80,999, with the S25 Plus priced at ₹99,999, and the S25 Ultra reaching ₹1,29,999, showing a price drop from last year.</p>

<p>The Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra is a super premium Android tablet with a massive AMOLED display that can put many laptops to shame.</p>
<p>But with a starting price of ₹1,08,999, you have to wonder who it is really designed for?</p>
<h3><strong>Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra Design</strong></h3>
<p>Samsung has kept the overall look and feel of this device consistent with its previous Ultra tablets.</p>
<p><strong>Dimensions and Weight</strong>: It&rsquo;s slightly slimmer this time around at 5.4mm, which makes it impressively sleek. But it still weighs well over 700g, so yeah, it is quite a unit for handheld use.&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>Build</strong>: Samsung has also upgraded the build with Enhanced Armor Aluminium, which they claim is 10% stronger and more resistant to scratches.</p>
<p>This Platinum Silver colour on my test device looks quite subtle and professional, But I&rsquo;m not a fan of these white highlights on it.&nbsp;</p>
<h3><strong>Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra Display &amp; Utility</strong></h3>
<p>Up front, you&rsquo;ll notice the Ultra&rsquo;s standout feature - this display notch. Even after three generations, I still can&rsquo;t quite justify its presence.</p>
<p>Samsung could have easily hidden this notch by slightly thickening the bezels, which might have been a better choice. You see, thin bezels sound appealing on paper but in reality, they make it hard to hold a large tablet like this without your fingers accidentally touching or blocking the screen.</p>

<p>The S10 Ultra is also IP68 water and dust resistant, which is something you don&rsquo;t find very often on tablets.</p>
<p>The S Pen makes a comeback and like always, it is bundled at no extra cost. As always, it is a fantastic tool for taking notes, and drawing stuff.</p>
<p>I&rsquo;m not a professional artist, so I can&rsquo;t speak to its effectiveness for serious digital art. However, for the occasional doodling I do, it offers a satisfying pen-to-paper feel.</p>
<p>However, I wish there was a better storage solution for the pen, as attaching it to the back means it can get dislodged unless and until it&rsquo;s secured inside a cover. And yes, a cover is essential for this tablet given its colossal footprint.&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>Display</strong>: The Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra&rsquo;s display is its star feature. It is a 14.6-inch AMOLED panel with a 16:10 aspect ratio, making it perfect for movie buffs.&nbsp;</p>
<p>The screen delivers vibrant colours and has a peak brightness of 930 nits, which means that it handles HDR content really well. The 120Hz LTPO refresh rate can drop down to 1Hz to save battery, making interactions feel smooth and responsive.&nbsp;</p>
<p>It also gets an anti-reflective coating just like the S24 Ultra, and it works well in bright environments, reflecting only 2% of light.&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>Sound</strong>: The stereo speakers on the S10 Ultra are quite loud with a good amount of depth and bass production. It makes watching content a joy.&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>Sensors</strong>: For biometrics, this tablet includes an in-display fingerprint scanner which is fast, but might be awkward to use for some given its placement.&nbsp;</p>
<h3><strong>Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra Performance &amp; Software</strong></h3>
<p><strong>Chipset</strong>: The Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra is powered by MediaTek&rsquo;s Dimensity 9300+ chipset, which is quite surprising, as most of Samsung's high-end devices typically use either Snapdragon or Exynos chips.</p>
<p>Since the Dimensity 9300+ is a flagship-grade chip, it's no surprise that it absolutely crushes through benchmarks.&nbsp;</p>
<p>It is also a fantastic option for mobile gaming, given you have a compatible controller. Let&rsquo;s be honest, using touch controls on such a large display is quite cumbersome.</p>
<p>I also edited a few videos on it, and the experience was pretty smooth with negligible throttling.</p>
<p><strong>Storage Options</strong>: Its 12GB of standard RAM certainly helps keep things smooth. In India, you get 256 or 512GB of storage options, but the 1TB variant hasn&rsquo;t been launched here.&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>AI Features</strong>: The Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra also includes the latest Galaxy AI suite. So, you get a wide range of smart features like photo editing tools, transcription tools, and more. While some of these features might be niche, most of them are quite handy to have.</p>
<p>Plus this big display along with S-Pen makes using many of these AI features a lot more intuitive.</p>
<p><strong>Operating System</strong>: The tablet operates on Samsung&rsquo;s OneUI 6 layered over Android 14, which is generally well-optimised. However, do note that the app experience on Android tablets is still behind what iPad OS offers.</p>
<p><strong>Update Support</strong>: Samsung promises seven years of software updates and security patches on the S10 Ultra, which is great to have on a tablet since you won&rsquo;t change it every two years.</p>
<p>More importantly, this tablet supports DeX, for a desktop-like interface. So, you can open apps in resizable windows like you&rsquo;d on a PC, making your workflow a lot easier.&nbsp;</p>
<p>But then again, a keyboard case is absolutely necessary to fully unlock the capabilities of this tab. Unfortunately, Samsung did not supply me with one for this review.&nbsp;</p>
<h3><strong>Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra Cameras</strong></h3>
<p>The Tab S10 Ultra features a 13MP and 8MP setup on the back and dual 12MP cameras on the front, one of which one has a wider field of view. The focus here is clearly on video calls rather than photography.</p>
<p>They&rsquo;re decent for documenting photos, but don&rsquo;t expect the quality to match any of Samsung&rsquo;s premium smartphones.</p>
<h3><strong>Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra Battery &amp; Charging</strong></h3>
<p>The Tab S10 Ultra comes with an 11,200mAh battery, and Samsung claims that it can last up to 18 hours on a single charge.</p>
<p>In my use, the tablet easily lasted for around 3 days, which included me watching Youtube, gaming, browsing the web and running a few benchmarks. Do remember that enabling DeX eats more battery.&nbsp;</p>
<p>However, charging this thing takes a while. It only supports up to 45W of wired charging, and there&rsquo;s no charger in the box. With a standard 25W Samsung charger I had with me, this thing took around 2.5 hours for a full recharge.</p>

<p>Samsung has moved away from the classic stemless design and introduced a new "blade" design&mdash;more angular than Apple&rsquo;s AirPods Pro. Now, I know what you might be thinking: "Oh great, another brand jumping on the stem bandwagon."</p>
<p>But here&rsquo;s the thing&mdash;Samsung isn&rsquo;t just copying the competition. The blades aren&rsquo;t just a design statement; they have a functional purpose, too. They bring the microphones closer to your mouth, making voice calls clearer, which is a huge plus for anyone who&rsquo;s had to repeat themselves on a call because their earbuds weren&rsquo;t quite picking up their voice.</p>
<p>During my calls with the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro on the metro, callers mentioned that they could hardly hear any background noise, and my voice came through clearly with only minimal distortion.</p>
<p>And let&rsquo;s be real, while the stemless design was cool and all, some people just prefer the security of a little extra something to hold onto. The lights built into the blades aren&rsquo;t just for show either. They glow when the buds are in pairing mode, adding a functional touch to the design and they also flash to help guide you to the buds' location, which can be pretty handy.</p>

<p>However, getting that perfect fit right out of the box might take a little trial and error. I needed to use one of the smaller ear tips that come included in the box to get the right fit.</p>
<p>And that&rsquo;s important because a good seal isn&rsquo;t just about comfort; it&rsquo;s crucial for getting the best performance out of these buds, especially when it comes to blocking out background noise.</p>
<h3><strong>Galaxy Buds 3 Pro Active Noise Cancellation</strong></h3>
<p>Speaking of noise, the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro&rsquo;s active noise cancelling (ANC) does a solid job. Samsung has packed in a few different modes to suit your environment.</p>
<p>There&rsquo;s ambient sound mode, which lets in just enough of the outside world so you don&rsquo;t miss your train stop, and adaptive sound mode, which smartly switches between ambient and noise-cancelling depending on your surroundings.</p>
<p>If you&rsquo;re in a quiet setting, it&rsquo;ll go easy on the noise cancelling, but once the noise picks up&mdash;like when you&rsquo;re walking through a busy street&mdash;it kicks it up a notch.</p>
<p>One feature I found both interesting and a bit annoying is the voice and siren detection. The buds automatically switch to ambient mode when they detect someone talking to you or if there&rsquo;s an emergency siren nearby.</p>
<p>This is great in theory, especially for safety reasons, but in practice, it can be a bit of a nuisance. Sometimes, you just don&rsquo;t want to hear what&rsquo;s going on around you, even if someone&rsquo;s trying to get your attention.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The buds come equipped with Bluetooth 5.4, which is reliable and lets you listen from a decent distance away from your phone. Throughout my testing, I didn&rsquo;t experience any drop-outs or connection issues.</p>

<h3><strong>Samsung Galaxy M35 5G Performance</strong></h3>
<p>This phone is powered by the Exynos 1380 chip. We tested the 8GB/128GB model, but it also comes in 6GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB options. Now, we know what you're thinking: this phone comes with Exynos, but how will that be good for gaming? And why not Snapdragon? And these are all valid points and questions but after using this phone for 2 weeks, we were pleasantly surprised.</p>
<p>The Samsung Galaxy M35 5G handles basic tasks like checking emails, browsing the web, texting, and watching videos smoothly. We didn't notice any lag or stutter. When it came to demanding games like BGMI, CODM, and Genshin Impact, it did really well.</p>
<p>You can easily play BGMI at 60fps without noticeable lag, even after 30 minutes of gameplay. Plus, the phone didn&rsquo;t get warm, which is a big plus. The same goes for CODM. You can enjoy the game with minimal frame drops, maintaining a steady 55-60fps.</p>
<p>Genshin Impact, however, is a different story. This game is one of the most graphically intensive titles out there, challenging even flagship phones. On the Samsung Galaxy M35 5G, it's playable at 60fps on low settings, but expect it to drop to around 40fps during intense action. Impressively, the phone stayed at 41 degrees Celsius, even after 30 minutes of Genshin.</p>
<p>After playing Genshin for 30 minutes, the battery went from 43% to 34%. We also ran some benchmarks on this. The Samsung Galaxy M35 5G scored around 600,000 on Antutu and in the CPU throttling test, the graph stayed mostly green, showing consistent performance.</p>
<p>Geekbench gave it a 1013 single-core and 2911 multi-core score. The phone also stayed cool throughout all these tests &ndash; no overheating issues here!</p>
<h3><strong>Samsung Galaxy M35 5G Camera</strong></h3>
<p>This phone has three cameras on the back with a 50-megapixel main lens with OIS, an 8-megapixel Ultra-wide lens, and a 2-megapixel Macro lens. The main camera takes decent photos with good detail. Colors look natural, especially skin tones but the photos look somewhat soft. You can also capture at 2x and the photos are fine.</p>
<p>Portrait mode isn't its strong point. It sometimes struggles to accurately detect edges. The ultra-wide camera matches the main camera&rsquo;s colour pretty well.</p>
<p>Even selfies from the 13-megapixel front camera snaps decent selfies. Both cameras can shoot 4K video at 30 frames per second. However, the video colours are a bit boosted.</p>
<p>It's not a bad camera system overall but with most phones at this price, the main camera will be doing most of the heavy lifting.</p>

<p>We also play games a lot, and after three straight hours, the battery dropped by around 30%. That's pretty solid. Charging, on the other hand, could have been better. It takes about two hours to fully charge from 0 to 100% through 25W wired charging, which isn't great especially when the competition offers faster charging at this price. And as always, there's no charger in the box!</p>

<p>Let's chat about design first. The Flip 6 doesn&rsquo;t stray too far from the look of its predecessor. &nbsp;But I don't think, that's necessarily a bad thing!&nbsp; After all, Samsung's been making foldables for a while now, &nbsp;and the Flip 6 is a beautiful testament to that.</p>
<p>It just feels really sturdy and well-made, almost like they perfected the design. It folds up super compact too, and the Armor aluminium frame gives it a nice, solid feel in your hand. Speaking of perfecting things, the new dual rail hinge design offers a more solid feel when you close the phone. &nbsp;</p>
<p>Plus, the crease in the middle of the screen is less noticeable now. It's still there, but it&rsquo;s not as prominent. One thing I did notice using the phone, though, is that opening it can be a bit tricky.The edges are flatter now, and there's not much to grip onto, especially when you're trying to unfold it with one hand. &nbsp;</p>
<p>Another important upgrade for &nbsp;The Flip 6 is its IP48 rating, which basically means it's the world's first foldable phone that can survive both dust and water. That's a nice peace of mind, knowing your foldable phone can handle both dust bunnies and spills.&nbsp;</p>
<p>Samsung also went all out with some gorgeous new pastel colours this year. I just love this new peach colour, I've been testing, which is exclusive to Samsung's website. The "normal" colours this year are yellow, mint, blue, and silver, which are all pretty slick too.</p>
<p>One minor thing that bugged me though - the rings around the cameras on the peach model aren't the same colour as the back panel, unlike the other phone colours. If the camera accents matched this phone's colour, that would have been an instant win for me! &nbsp;</p>

<p>The main screen on the Flip 6 is pretty much the same as last year's, which is a good thing! It's still a big, beautiful 6.7-inch AMOLED display, and everything feels smooth and responsive thanks to the 120Hz refresh rate.</p>
<p>The inner screen also got a significant brightness boost - &nbsp;we're talking 2,600 nits compared to 1,750 on the Flip 5. That's a big jump, and it makes a huge difference when you're using your phone outside on a sunny day.&nbsp;</p>
<p>My only main criticism is that the display's slender aspect ratio does take a little getting used to, and typing when typing on the keyboard's arrow keys isn't exactly easy.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Software-wise though, they did give it a little upgrade! You get a whole new collection of widgets to play with, and you can even stack a few on top of each other. It's definitely a step forward, but still feels a tad limited. &nbsp;Moreover, Samsung only lets you use four apps on the outer screen - &nbsp;Maps, Messages, Netflix, and YouTube.&nbsp;</p>
<p>That's not exactly a buffet of choices and you gotta use this app called GoodLock to unlock other apps.&nbsp; Once it's set up, it's fun to use other apps on the tiny screen, but the setup itself can be a bit of a hassle.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Now that we are on the subject of software, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 is running Samsung&rsquo;s One UI 6.1.1 on top of Android 14. If you&rsquo;ve used a recent Galaxy phone, the look and feel will be pretty familiar.</p>
<p>This year&rsquo;s flip phone comes packed with the same Galaxy AI features introduced with the S24 series earlier this year, like Circle to Search, Instant Slow-Mo, Generative Edit, and more. But Samsung didn't stop there. They've added some new AI features just for their latest foldable phones.</p>
<p>For example, the new Photo Assist feature lets you turn your selfies and photos into drawings, sketches, and 3D models using generative AI. It's a fun gimmick, but I don't think it&rsquo;ll get used much. On the other hand, I found the Interpreter Mode super handy. Like the Galaxy S24, it does real-time translation between two people speaking different languages.</p>
<p>The Flip 6 takes it a step further with its FlexWindow display. When the phone is half-folded, both parties can see the translation on their screens, making the whole thing way more practical and user-friendly. But the best part about the software is its longevity. The fact that Samsung offers seven years of OS and security updates is simply amazing. &nbsp;</p>

<p>Now, let's talk about performance. The Galaxy Z Flip 6 is powered by &nbsp;the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset &mdash; the exact same one you get in the Galaxy S24 Ultra. Benchmark results confirmed my initial impressions: the Galaxy Z Flip 6 is a &nbsp;mini powerhouse.</p>
<p>It scored 6,210 points in Geekbench's multi-core test and 2,160 points in the single-core test. That's a nice bump compared to the Z Flip 5, which scored 5,291 and 2,045 respectively. In 3D Mark's Wild Life Extreme, the Z Flip 6 also outperformed the Flip 5 by a good margin.&nbsp;</p>
<p>By the way, the Flip 6 gets a built-in vapour chamber cooling system, a first for any Samsung Flip phone. This definitely helps prevent the phone from throttling under sustained loads, which is impressive considering how small and thin this foldable phone is. While it did get a bit warm when gaming, it wasn't anything to worry about.</p>
<p>The Flip 6 also handles multitasking like a champ. It can juggle three apps simultaneously without any major issues. I'm also happy to see that the base model now comes with &nbsp;256GB of storage and 12GB of RAM which is a welcome increase from the 8GB of RAM on the Flip 5.</p>

<p>Photos from the main camera are sharp and detailed, with a good dynamic range, though some textures like leaves can appear overly sharp. The 2x in-sensor zoom works well in bright light, and the digital zoom up to 10x isn't too bad either.</p>
<p>Night photography is also good, thanks to the larger main sensor that captures more light. However, like previous Samsung phones, the Z Flip 6 can struggle a bit with moving subjects and sometimes the colours, especially bright blues, can be a bit too vibrant.</p>
<p>The ultrawide camera is great for capturing landscapes, delivering nice shots without too much distortion, and its colours are consistent with the main camera.</p>
<p>Video recording is strong as well, with effective stabilization for handheld shooting. The 10MP selfie camera does a great job with portraits, but you can take even better selfies using the main camera and the cover screen as a viewfinder.</p>
<p>Overall, the camera setup on the Z Flip 6 is pretty good but it's also not a drastic improvement over the Flip 5 despite the bigger main sensor.&nbsp;</p>

<p>I typically ended the day with around 25% battery left, but your mileage may vary depending on how you use your phone.&nbsp;<br>Unfortunately, the charging speeds haven&rsquo;t seen any upgrades. You&rsquo;re still getting 25-watt wired charging, 15W wireless charging, and 4.5W reverse wireless charging.</p>

<p>So, that's pretty much it for the Galaxy Z Flip 6, which feels like a refined version of an already great phone. It's easily the best flip foldable Samsung has released so far, but it's also not a major upgrade over its predecessor.&nbsp;</p>
