Sanju Samson made a big revelation after Rajasthan Royals beat RCB in the IPL 2024 Eliminator on Wednesday.

Rajasthan Royals skipper Sanju Samson on Wednesday said "a few of us are not 100 percent" fit but expressed confidence that they have got the momentum back with the four-wicket win over Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the IPL eliminator here.
RR entered the eliminator following a run of four defeats.
"What cricket and life have taught us is we will have some great days, we will have some really bad days. Important to bounce back. The way we batted, bowled and fielded, I am really happy. All the credit has to go to the players," Samson said at post-match presentation.
"We look at the field set and planning, the credit has to go to Sanga (Kumar Sangakkara) and the team of support staff for discussing tactics.
"Ashwin and Avesh bowled tremendously well. If you look at our batting unit, there is a lot of youngsters. They are 22-years old, they are less experienced but they played well." Samson added,
"A few of us are not 100%. I'm not a 100% actually. There is a bug in the dressing room, lots of coughs and a lot of people are a bit unwell. But we have the momentum now, so the dressing room is confident."
RCB captain Faf du Plessis, whose side made the play-offs from the brink of elimination, said it takes a lot of heart to win six games in a row but admitted they were few runs short of what could have been a challenging total in the knockout match against RR.
"With the dew coming, we felt we were short with the bat. Did think we were 20 runs shy of what was a good score," Du Plessis said.
The South African veteran added, "Credit to the boys - they fought really well. That's all you can ask for. If you look at naturally assessing the pitch and conditions, you would say it's a 180 pitch because it was swinging upfront and was quite slow.
"But what we've found out this season, with the impact player, the par score isn't enough any more. Also with the dew coming in, we knew we had to score more to challenge them." Speaking abut their fine run after a disastrous start to the tournament, he said, "A lot of teams, their wheels would have fallen off after 1 from 9. But we made sure to gave our best and to come back like that - six games in a row - takes a lot of heart."

Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson has been fined 30 per cent of his match fees for breaching the IPL Code of Conduct during his side's 20-run loss to Delhi Capitals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in the national capital.
The offence committed by Samson, who made 86 during RR's unsuccessful run chase of 222 on Tuesday, was not specified but it could be for arguing with the umpires when he was given out after Shai Hope took a catch just near the boundary ropes in the 16th over.
The question was whether Hope's feet touched the boundary ropes while taking the catch. The third umpire ruled Samson out but the RR skipper was not happy. He initially started walking towards the pavilion, only to return to the middle and have some words with the on-field umpires.
"Samson committed a Level 1 offence under Article 2.8 of the IPL's Code of Conduct. He admitted to the offence and accepted the Match Referee&rsquo;s sanction. For Level 1 breaches of the Code of Conduct, the Match Referee's decision is final and binding," the IPL said in a statement.
A Level 1 offence under Article 2.8 of the IPL's Code of Conduct includes "excessive, obvious disappointment with an Umpire&rsquo;s decision; an obvious delay in resuming play or leaving the wicket; requesting a referral to the TV Umpire and arguing or entering into a prolonged discussion with the Umpire about his/her decision." On April 10 also, Samson was fined Rs 12 lakh after RR maintained a slow over rate during their match against Gujarat Titans in Jaipur.

Samson, who was named the Player of the Match for his unbeaten 71 off 33 balls while chasing 197, lauded his bowlers for restricting LSG under the 200-run mark.
"There was purchase with the new ball and when the ball got old, it was a nice wicket to bat on. It was a very good team effort. The guys who come in and bowl the crucial overs, that is also important. They know what to do each ball, there is a lot of planning going on behind the scenes and we are doing well.
"At the start, and at the end (we bowled well). In the middle overs, they took the game a little away from us," he said.
Samson also praised Dhruv Jurel for his unbeaten 52 off 34 balls as the wicketkeeper-batter finally regained his form.
"Form is temporary and batting at No 5 is the toughest job in T20 cricket. A youngster like him (Jurel), he has the composure as we have seen in Tests. We believed in him, he has been batting in the nets for one or two hours and we knew it was a matter of time (before he delivered).

Wicketkeeper-batter Sanju Samson is likely to make a return to India&rsquo;s limited-overs side for the upcoming series against the West Indies.
According to a Cricbuzz report, the selection panel is planning to include the Kerala batter in India&rsquo;s squad for the 3-match ODI series, which will be followed by a 5-match T20I series.
Arshdeep Singh and Umran Malik are likely to find themselves in the squad as well. Malik, who played only 8 out of 14 games for SunRisers Hyderabad this season, is set for a national recall, although it remains unclear whether he will be considered for Tests, ODIs, or T20Is.
Ishan Kishan is also in the selectors&rsquo; plans as per the report. In addition, the selectors are planning to rest the seniors for the 5-match T20I series, with Hardik Pandya set to take the captaincy duties once again.

Rajasthan Royals skipper Sanju Samson on Sunday rued the no-ball that cost his side the IPL match against Sunrisers Hyderabad, saying the nature of T20 cricket is such that "you can't step the line at that point of time." Defending 17 runs off the final over, Sandeep Sharma looked up at the sky in celebration after 'dismissing' Samad in the last ball but to his horror it turned out to be a no-ball.
Sharma's mistake cost the Royals the match as Abdul Samad punished him with a six over his head to pull off an incredible four-wicket win for the Sunrisers in a dramatic finish.
"This is what IPL gives you, matches like these makes the IPL special. You can never feel like you have won the game. I knew any opponent can win it and they were batting well too, but I was confident with Sandeep (defending the final over).
"He has won us a game from a similar situation (against CSK). He did it again today but that no-ball ruined our result," Samson said at the post-match presentation.
Asked how he felt after the last ball was called a no-ball, Samson said: "Nothing much, it's a no ball, just have to bowl it again as simple as that, you don't think about it too much.
"Sandeep knows what to do. Maybe there might be a small change in mindset for a few seconds when you feel that the job is done, everyone was celebrating but I think that's the nature of this game, you can't step the line at that point of time." It was RR's fourth loss in last five matches.
Asked about his thoughts moving forward in the tournament, he said: "To be honest life is never easy playing this format, especially this tournament. Each and every game we have to play our best standard of cricket. We will come back and try to do it again." With SRH scripting the highest chase ever at this venue, skipper Aiden Markram was a happy man.
"Emotions turned quite quickly, nice for us to get over the line. Chasing 215 isn't easy, and guys contributed all along to chase a big target. We knew in a quick outfield like this we'll score more than expected, but we had to be aggressive," he said. "Abhishek started up off, and then Tripathi gave him company. Then those cameos from Phillips and Klaasy. (On Samad's finishing skills) I think you got to train it, and put yourself under pressure. You are playing high risk cricket, so that's where technique comes in." Glenn Phillips was adjudged the Player of the Match for his 25 off 7 balls which included three successive sixes.
"It was a situation where it was going to go one of two ways. Happy to go out on top of this one. We are all here to do our job, this is what the team needed today. Fantastic for it to pay off," he said.
"I felt I left a lot out there with 17 needed off the final over, but then Samad did what he did and obviously we got that little bit of luck with the no ball."&nbsp;

Congress MP Shashi Tharoor has jumped into the selection debate that's raging on social media.
While netizens are divided over the inclusion of KL Rahul in the Indian squad, Shashi Tharoor brought Sanju Samson into the debate.
Replying to a senior journalist, Tharoor questioned Samson's omission from Team India's ODI squad for the Australia series.
Even though Tharoor made an error with Sanju Samson's numbers, the MP from Kerala stated that "it&rsquo;s all very well to give non-performers a long rope but surely not at the expense of talented performers?"

After suffering the 7-wicket loss in the first ODI, Dhawan replaced Sanju Samson with Deepak Hooda, the decision however was not welcomed. The ire befell on Rishabh Pant who has not performed off late in white ball cricket. The Twitterattis accused the BCCI of &lsquo;favouritism&rsquo; after Pant who got 15 in 23 balls was not dropped but Samson who scored 36 off 38 balls was not a part of the XI.&nbsp;
