Hollywood actor-director Sean Penn visited the Ukrainian capital Kyiv recently and met President Volodymyr Zelensky. He presented the president with one of his Oscar trophies to show that he stood in solidarity with all Ukrainians.&nbsp; &nbsp; Penn has been a supporter of the country in its ongoing war against Russia. He was in Ukraine shooting a documentary in association with VICE Studios on the Russian aggression against the Eastern European nation when the war broke out in February this year. Penn was forced to run and join the citizens of the country on the evacuation across the border.&nbsp; &nbsp; Sean told President Zelensky that the statuette was &lsquo;a silly symbol&rsquo;, but he feels strong if it's there. Penn even asked him to bring it back to Malibu when Ukraine wins the war.&nbsp; &nbsp; Zelensky has posted a video of this gesture on his Instagram handle. He mentioned that this was the third time Penn visited the country during the full-scale war already, and after being presented with his Oscar statuette, with great pleasure he presented Sean Penn with the Order of Merit of the III degree.&nbsp;

Days after visiting the Ukrainian capital Kyiv to film scenes for his documentary on Russia's invasion, Hollywood actor-director Sean Penn has now evacuated to Poland, as the crisis between Russia and Ukraine intensifies.
On Monday, the Academy Award-winning actor took to Twitter and posted a photo showing himself wearing a backpack and toting a piece of luggage on wheels as he trudged along the shoulder of a road.
In the tweet, Penn revealed that he and two colleagues walked 'miles' to the Polish border after abandoning their car.
Penn had been filming a documentary about the escalating conflict between Russia and Ukraine since November of last year. He was earlier seen wearing a military helmet and vest as he toured many places, and interacted with Ukrainian soldiers, while his crew captured everything on camera. 
Penn, whose directorial credits include 'Into the Wild' and 'The Crossing Guard', is also known for his political activism and involvement in various humanitarian causes, including relief efforts for victims of Hurricane Katrina, the Haiti earthquake of 2010 and Pakistan floods in 2012.
