The 24th edition of the New York Indian Film Festival will be held between May 31 to June 2. The prestigious film festival will honour the veteran Indian film actor Shabana Azmi. Her 50-year journey in cinema will be celebrated at the event next month. &nbsp;

I am happy that my 50th year is being celebrated at the NYIFF and I look forward to it.&rdquo;&nbsp;

Veteran actor Shabana Azmi is the latest celebrity to fall prey to cybercrime. She took to social media on August 22 to inform everyone about someone trying to impersonate her via messages.
Her associate posted the notice regarding the &lsquo;phishing&rsquo; attempts and also mentioned that Shabana is in the process of lodging a police complaint.
Shabana Azmi's statement read, &lsquo;It has come to our notice that some of our colleagues and associates have received messages purported to be from Ms Shabana Azmi. These are clearly &ldquo;phishing&rdquo; attempts asking responders to make purchases on App Store for the messenger (sic).&rsquo;
It further said, &lsquo;Please do not reply or pick any calls/messages that appear to be coming to you from Shabanaji. This is a cybercrime of impersonation, and we are making a police complaint. As of now the two numbers from which these messages have been reported are +66987577041 and +998917811a675. Thank you (sic).&rsquo;
On the work front, Shabana Azmi was last seen in &lsquo;Ghoomer&rsquo; alongside Saiyami Kher and Abhishek Bachchan. The Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM) is the largest annual celebration of Indian cinema outside of India. The festival showcases some of the most diverse and inclusive films and filmmakers, all whilst encapsulating Indian cinema.
The festival commenced on August 11 and will conclude on August 20.

Lyricist Javed Akhtar needs no introduction as his career speaks volumes about his talent. Mr Akhtar was born on January 17, 1945, in Gwalior, Central India Agency.
He gained recognition as a screenplay writer with Salim Khan. The duo, famous as Salim-Javed, wrote memorable screenplays for some remarkable films. Javed Akhtar has been awarded the &lsquo;Avadh Samman&rsquo; for his immense contribution to Hindi cinema.
The legendary lyricist was previously married to actor Honey Irani with whom he has two children - Farhan and Zoya Akhtar.
In 1970s, he used to study music at poet, writer Kaifi Azmi&rsquo;s house. Mr Akhtar fell in love with his daughter, actor Shabana Azmi while pursuing his studies. When Kaifi Azmi learnt about their bond, he was reluctant initially as Javed Akhtar was already married. After Mr Akhtar divorced Honey Irani, Kaifi Azmi agreed to get his daughter married to the screenwriter.

On the work front, Asha was last seen as a special judge on an Indian Idol 12 episode, along with&nbsp;Himesh Reshammiya, Anu Malik and Sonu Kakkar. The episode celebrated the musical journey of the 87-year-old singer.
