Veteran actor-turned-politician Shatrughan Sinha reportedly has been discharged from Mumbai's Kokilaben Ambani Hospital following his annual routine check-up. Sinha&rsquo;s close family friend Pahlaj Nihalani confirmed the news to Times Now.
&lsquo;Yes, Shatru is back from the hospital. I&rsquo;m overjoyed,&rsquo; Nihalani stated.
Sinha&rsquo;s sons, Luv and Kussh, and his wife Poonam, reportedly brought him home. Shatrughan Sinha was hospitalised a few days after his daughter, Sonakshi Sinha, married Zaheer Iqbal.
Meanwhile, Sinha addressed the rumours regarding his health and denied reports of falling off a sofa and undergoing surgery.
Speaking to Times Now/Zoom, Sinha said, &lsquo;Arrey bhai, mujhe surgery hui aur mujhe khud nahin maloom (If I had surgery, wouldn&rsquo;t I know?)&rsquo; When asked about the reason for his hospitalization, Sinha explained, &lsquo;Just for an annual routine full-body checkup. I recommend it for everyone over 60. I&rsquo;ve been traveling nonstop for my election campaigning for three months. Then, right after, my daughter got married. I'm no longer that hot-blooded, energy-driven young man who could do three shifts a day and still have the energy to party all night. I need to slow down.&rsquo;
Sinha also expressed his happiness about his daughter Sonakshi's marriage. &lsquo;It all went off well. Thanks to the Almighty, my daughter is happily married now. As for the naysayers who are not happy, I have nothing to say to them,&rsquo; he added.

Sonakshi Sinha married her longtime boyfriend Zaheer Iqbal in a private ceremony at her Bandra apartment in Mumbai on June 23. He said, &ldquo;I am in Delhi right now. After the election results, I flew down here. I haven't spoken to anyone about my daughter's plans. So your question is, is she getting married? The answer is that she hasn't told me anything about it. Main bhi utna hi jaanta ho jitna main media maine padha hai (I know as much about this as what the media has told me). If and when she takes me into confidence, my wife and I will give the couple my blessings. We wish her happiness always."
Being the supportive father that he is, the actor-politician said that his daughter has right to make her decision and expressed his support. "We trust her judgement completely. She would never make an extra-constituional or illegal decision. As a consenting adult, she has the right to make her own decisions," he said. &nbsp;
Despite denying any knowledge about the wedding, Sinha expressed desire to dance. He said, &ldquo;I would like to say that whenever my daughter gets married, I would like to be dancing right in front of the baaraat."
The veteran actor-politician emphasised that he does not have any information about the wedding. &ldquo;I am being asked by people close to me why I am not aware of this and the media is aware of it. All I can say is, aaj kal ke bachche consent nahin lete maap-baap ke, sirf inform karte hain (these days, children don't seek permission from parents, they just inform). Veteran actor Shatrughan Sinha has voiced his support for Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan after he was given a clean chit by the Narcotics Control Bureau in the drugs-on-cruise case.
In an interview with the Bombay Times, Shatrugan Sinha reacted to the news and said that he now feels 'vindicated.' He further added that Aryan was 'paying the price' for being superstar Shah Rukh Khan's son and it was 'not acceptable.'
'My stand seems to have vindicated now. I did support not only Aryan but also Shah Rukh Khan. He was paying a price for being ― Shah Rukh Khan. This action or reaction of the government is certainly highly appreciated,' the actor told Bombay Times.
'This seems to be politics of vendetta. This is not acceptable, especially by a high profile institution like NCB. I can understand the pain, anguish and helplessness that Shah Rukh Khan must have gone through,' said the actor,' he further added.
Shatrughan Sinha stressed that a 'deterrent punishment' should be given to those who framed the innocent without a proper investigation or any proof.

In an interview with the Bombay Times, Shatrugan Sinha reacted to the news and said that he now feels 'vindicated.' He further added that Aryan was 'paying the price' for being superstar Shah Rukh Khan's son and it was 'not acceptable.'
'My stand seems to have vindicated now. I did support not only Aryan but also Shah Rukh Khan. He was paying a price for being ― Shah Rukh Khan. This action or reaction of the government is certainly highly appreciated,' the actor told Bombay Times.
'This seems to be politics of vendetta. This is not acceptable, especially by a high profile institution like NCB. I can understand the pain, anguish and helplessness that Shah Rukh Khan must have gone through,' said the actor,' he further added.
