Raina to set up cricket academy in Jammu and Kashmir

J&amp;K's&nbsp;Lt Governor Manoj&nbsp;Sinha&nbsp;requests Raina&nbsp;to set up 5 cricket schools each in the Kashmir and Jammu division

Former Indian cricketer Suresh&nbsp;Raina&nbsp;on Friday revealed his plans to&nbsp;set up a cricket academy in Jammu and Kashmir. The 33-year-old on his visit to Kashmir spoke to J&amp;K's&nbsp;Lt Governor Manoj&nbsp;Sinha&nbsp;who requested him to set up 5 cricket schools each in the Kashmir and Jammu division to train aspiring cricketers of the union territory. Raina&nbsp;who wants to promote sports among the J&amp;K youth also spoke to DGP&nbsp;Dilbag&nbsp;Singh&nbsp;to discuss plans with J&amp;K police for&nbsp;encouraging local youth and identifying talented youngsters particularly underprivileged kids in the union territory.&nbsp;

For the first time, a female IPS officer has been appointed as Inspector General (IG) of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) of the Srinagar sector, one of the terrorist-affected areas in Jammu and Kashmir.
Charu Sinha, IPS officer of the 1996-batch Telangana cadre, will now be heading the Srinagar sector for CRPF. The sector, which started functioning in 2005 never had a female officer at the IG level.
Several anti-naxal operations were earlier carried out under Sinha&rsquo;s leadership when she was IG of the Bihar sector in CRPF. She was later transferred as IG Jammu in CRPF.
