Passage of bills doesn't mean end of MSP or APMC: Rajnath

As six union ministers held a press conference over the 2 farm bills and the ensuing ruckus in the Rajya&nbsp;Sabha, Defence Minister&nbsp;Rajnath Singh&nbsp;re-iterated that introduction of the bills does not mean end of MSP system or APMC.&nbsp;

As six union ministers held a press conference over the 2 farm bills and the ensuing ruckus in the Rajya&nbsp;Sabha, Defence Minister&nbsp;Rajnath Singh&nbsp;re-iterated that passage of the bills does not mean end of MSP system or APMC. He also added that there was an attempt to mislead the farmers of the country.&nbsp;
"The two bills are historic for farmers and the agriculture sector. With their implementation, income of farmers will increase. But misunderstanding is being spread among farmers that MSP and APMC are being ended. The truth is that when these bills come into force,the farmers will be free to sell their produce in any market of the country. Neither APMC is being ended nor MSP," Singh said.

Centre fields six union ministers to defend the farm bills, Rajnath&nbsp;Singh&nbsp;says behaviour of the Opposition was shameful and unfortunate.&nbsp;

The government fronted six of its top ministers to launch a scathing attack on the opposition on Sunday as Rajnath Singh said the behaviour meted out to the Deputy Chairperson of the Rajya Sabha was not just "unprecedented" but "shameful".
He also said that as far as the no confidence motion against Harivansh Singh is concerned, it is the prerogative of the Rajya Sabha Chairperson Venkaiah Naidu.
"As far as I know, this has never happened in the history of Lok Sabha or Rajya Sabha. This very thing happening in Rajya Sabha is an even bigger matter. There have been attempts made to mislead the farmers on the basis of rumours. What happened (inside the house) was against the decorum of the House," said the Union Defence Minister without taking names of any members.
