Indians will not be able to witness the Total Solar Eclipse 2024. NASA, the US space agency informed that Surya Grahan will be visible in various countries including the United States, Canada, Mexico, and other parts of North America.
The official website states, "On April 8, 2024, a total solar eclipse will cross North America, passing over Mexico, the United States, and Canada."
<h3>When will it happen?</h3>
You can have a live view of the eclipse spanning around 12 hours, at the places where it will be visible. This year Total Solar Eclipse will commence at 2:12 pm on April 8 and will conclude by 2:22 am on April 9.

If you are in a country where a solar eclipse is visible, make sure to avoid looking directly at the sun. One should also use a special-purpose solar filter over the front optics of the telescope, camera lens, or binoculars before looking at the sun.

For those wishing to watch the eclipse, a lot hinges on the weather conditions. American Space Agency NASA would live stream the grand solar eclipse, which is also likely to be visible from Mexico and Canada.
The eclipse will begin in the Pacific, cross into Mexico and then cut through Texas on a northeasterly path through 15 states before heading out over Canada and the North Atlantic.
The eclipse reaches Mexico&rsquo;s Pacific coast in the morning, cuts diagonally across the U.S. from Texas to Maine and exits in eastern Canada by late afternoon. Most of the rest of the continent will see a partial eclipse.
Full solar eclipses occur every year or two or three, often in the middle of nowhere like the South Pacific or Antarctic. The next total solar eclipse, in 2026, will grace the northern fringes of Greenland, Iceland and Spain. North America won&rsquo;t experience totality again until 2033, with Alaska getting sole dibs.
Then that&rsquo;s it until 2044, when totality will be confined to Western Canada, Montana and North Dakota. There won&rsquo;t be another US eclipse, spanning coast to coast, until 2045.

Several temples in Telangana closed due to solar eclipse

Many important temples in Telangana remain closed on Tuesday due to solar eclipse, a senior official of the Endowments Department said.
Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple in Yadagirigutta, Sri Raja Rajeshwara Swamy temple in Vemulawada, Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple in Dharmapuri and Sri Gnana Saraswathi Devi temple in Basar are among those remain closed, official sources said.
Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple was closed in the morning due to the eclipse and will be opened tomorrow (Wednesday) morning after performing Samprokshana and other rituals, a temple official said.
There will be a partial solar eclipse which will be visible from the city as well as from most parts of the country on Tuesday.
In southern and central India, the eclipse will be observed just before sunset with Nagpur experiencing the eclipse from 4:49 PM to 5:42 PM. In Bengaluru, the eclipse will begin at 5:12 PM, reaching its maximum at 5:49 PM and ending at 5:55 PM. In Chennai, the eclipse would be visible from 5:14 PM to 5:44 PM, astrophysicist Debi Prasad Duari had earlier said.
The eclipse is expected is expected to last for 1 hour, 39 minutes and 30 seconds as per media reports.&nbsp;
