Nearly 300 daily wage workers have halted work on OTT show 'Dharavi Bank' following unpaid dues of almost a month.
The Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) says the workers were building the set of the Zee Studios backed series Dharavi Bank, starring Vivek Oberoi and Suniel Shetty, at the film city in suburban Goregaon.
Work came to a halt on Tuesday afternoon, since more than Rs 50 lakhs in unpaid wages are yet to be cleared by the production house.
Zee Studios in a statement has said, there is "no question of payment delays". The statement added, the fact is that there wasn’t any discipline of documentation from the crew employed. Zee says the payouts aren't held up due to any wilful delay.

A video by a food blogger showed 80-year-old Kanta Prasad and his wife, on the verge of tears on their meagre earnings.&nbsp;The duo serve meals at 30-50 rupees a plate.&nbsp;On asking how much he earned, Kanta Prasad produced 10 rupee notes and broke down.&nbsp;
Just like many others, the coronavirus pandemic wreaked havoc on the livelihood of this elderly couple.
Within hours of being shared on social media, the video garnered thousands of likes and retweets, catching the attention of celebrities, ministers and cricketers along with others.&nbsp;Bollywood actors Sonam Kapoor, Suneil Shetty and Raveena Tandon&nbsp;have even offered to help.
On Thursday morning, photos of the smiling couple made waves on the Internet, after numerous people visited their humble stall, urging others to visit 'Baba&nbsp;ka dhaba' and support them. Some reports say,&nbsp;the food sold out this morning.
