&ldquo;தென் கிழக்கு வங்கக் கடல் பகுதியில் நிலை கொண்டிருந்த ஆழ்ந்த காற்றழுத்த தாழ்வு மண்டலம் நேற்று இரவு புயலாக வலுவடைந்தது. இதற்கு புரெவி என்று பெயரிடப்பட்டுள்ளது. இது இன்று பாம்பனுக்கு கிழக்கு-தென் கிழக்கே சுமார் 420 கி.மீ. தொலைவிலும், கன்னியாகுமரிக்கு கிழக்கு-வடகிழக்கே சுமார் 600 கி.மீ தொலைவிலும் நிலை கொண்டுள்ளது.
இது அடுத்த 12 மணி நேரத்தில் மேலும் வலுப்பெற்று மேற்கு - வடமேற்கு திசையில் நகர்ந்து இன்று மாலை அல்லது இரவு நேரத்தில் இலங்கையை கடந்து நாளை காலை மன்னார் வளைகுடா வழியாக குமரிக்கடல் பகுதிக்கு நகரக் கூடும்.
இதன் காரணமாக ராமநாதபுரம், தூத்துக்குடி, கன்னியாகுமரி, திருநெல்வேலி, தென்காசி, சிவகங்கை மாவட்டங்களில் ஓரிரு இடங்களில் இடி மின்னலுடன் கூடிய அதிகனமழை பெய்யக்கூடும்.
