Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav on Monday alleged that the Enforcement Directorate had finished its raid at his Delhi house last week "in half an hour" but its officials stayed on at his hours awaiting "clearance from above".
Talking to reporters outside the state assembly, Yadav also rubbished the ED's claim of detecting proceeds of crime amounting to Rs 600 crore and alleged that "used jewellery" of his married sisters and their in-laws was photographed and shown as "recovery".

"We are not, like the BJP-RSS, students of entire political science. We are practitioners of real politics and have the conviction and public support to take them on. But they are scared and are trying to run away from the political battle", added Yadav.&nbsp;

The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader was asked to appear for questioning on Saturday forenoon but he is yet to arrive at the headquarters of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), they said. &nbsp;

The CBI has summoned Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav to appear for questioning in connection with the alleged land-for-jobs scam on Saturday, officials said.
Yadav was earlier called for questioning on March 4 but he had not appeared before the CBI sleuths, following which a fresh date was given for Saturday, they said.
The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader was asked to appear for questioning on Saturday forenoon but he is yet to arrive at the headquarters of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), they said. &nbsp;
The federal agency recently questioned RJD supremo Lalu Prasad and his wife Rabri Devi in Delhi and Patna respectively. &nbsp;The case pertains to people allegedly given employment in the railways in return for land parcels gifted or sold at cheap rates to the Yadav family and its associates, the officials said.

Speaking to reporters, Yadav said BJP only knows how to intimidate people, adding that BJP is not left with any alliance partner across the Hindi belt.
The war of words between JD(U) and BJP had ensued since government formation in the state with cracks showing time and again.
The final nail in the coffin was hammered on Sunday when Nitish Kumar didn't attend NITI Aayog's meeting presided by PM Modi. The JDU had accused the saffron party of undermining the state government.

EC issues warning over packed poll rallies in Bihar

Taking a severe view of crowded rallies held recently in Bihar, the Election Commission Wednesday warned political parties of action if its instructions on maintaining crowd discipline and taking Covid-related precautions during campaigning are violated again.
The poll watchdog simultaneously instructed the Bihar Chief Electoral Officer and its district machinery in the state to &ldquo;invoke appropriate and relevant penal provisions&rdquo; under the Disaster Management Act, and the Indian Penal Code against candidates found violating EC&rsquo;s orders.
The warning comes in the wake of election rallies in Bihar becoming more crowded and supporters not wearing masks while in attendance. Large crowds have been spotted at rallies recently addressed by RJD leader Tejashwi Pratap Yadav and Deputy Chief Minister&nbsp;Sushil Kumar Modi.
