3 scientists share Physics Nobel for black hole breakthroughs

The 2020&nbsp;Nobel Prize for physics has been awarded to Roger Penrose for black hole discovery and Reinhard Genzel and Andrea Ghez for discovering &ldquo;a supermassive compact object at the centre of our galaxy.&rdquo;
The winners will share the prize money of 10 million kronor which is about &pound;864,200. Chair of the physics prize committee, said this year's award "celebrates one of the most exotic objects in the Universe".
UK-born Roger Penrose invented ingenious mathematical methods to explore Einstein&rsquo;s general theory of relativity. He showed that the theory leads to the formation of black holes, in time and space that capture everything that enters them.
