A Pinkvilla report, quoting sources, said that Nitesh Tiwari is in touch with South star Vijay Sethupathi for the film. The report claims that the filmmaker has recently met the actor and narrated the script. The actor is said to have liked the script is reportedly on board with the makers for the mega film. &nbsp;
The said magnum opus will see Ranbir Kapoor playing Lord Ram, while Sita will be played by Sai Pallavi. Yash is expected to play Ravana. About the rest of the cast, there are reports that actor Sunny Deol could play Hanuman and Lara Dutta will be seen as Kaikeyi. &nbsp;

Actor Vijay Sethupathi, who is currently busy promoting his forthcoming film &lsquo;Merry Christmas&rsquo;, opened up about his experience of being body-shamed, feeling conscious about wearing 'chappals' to events, and seeking validation from his fans in a recent interview.
Speaking with The Indian Express, Vijay said, &lsquo;Main aisa hi tha, body shaming bohot kiya tha mujhe (I have faced a lot of body-shaming for the way I look). Wahaan bhi kiya tha (they also did it). It happened, but the good thing is that people accept you the way who you are. Today wherever I go, I am accepted, it is a blessing. (It&rsquo;s all) thanks to my audience that I am happy being myself. I didn&rsquo;t expect this, I didn&rsquo;t&hellip;&rsquo;
As Vijay builds his Bollywood career, he's gaining recognition and fan love, which validates his journey. Fans' love energizes him and affirms he's on the right path. He values their support as a sign of his work resonating with people.
He says, &lsquo;I believe fans are fans and their love is so true. Receiving love from fans is like an energy drink. &lsquo;When I first started coming to Mumbai for Mumbaikar and Gandhi Talks, very few people knew me. Now, a lot of people know me and they come to talk to me about the films and my roles, which makes me feel very happy. At the end of the day, we are doing films for the audience, being actors we want to be loved by the audience. Once we get it, it&rsquo;s like ok apna raasta toh sahi tarike se chal raha hai (I am in the right direction),&rsquo; he added.
Despite Vijay's acting prowess, there's constant online chatter about his simple, casual attire and &lsquo;chappals&rsquo; at high-profile Bollywood events. This scrutiny affects him, making him self-conscious about his modest fashion choices.
&lsquo;Sometimes I am conscious about my costumes because I believe in wearing what I am comfortable in. Sometimes people say I am showing off, sometimes they say I am too simple. Chappal pehnega toh simple matlab kya (how is wearing slippers equal to bring simple?). But sometimes I am conscious about that also. If I go to functions, I see people dressed up really well, and I get really conscious. So mostly I try to avoid going for get-togethers and meetings generally, otherwise I am comfortable,&rsquo; he says.
Vijay says he is looking at his Bollywood career one film at a time. He said, &lsquo;I don&rsquo;t have any plans. It&rsquo;s only that whatever films I do should do business, then only producers will come. If you only want to make good stories, but no producers come then there is no point to it. So, I am very clear that whatever stories, films I do should be hits and reach the audience. What does a hit mean? It&rsquo;s that most of the audience should watch the film. I am only particular about that, otherwise if I like the story I&rsquo;ll do it.&rsquo;

Shahid Kapoor and Vijay Sethupathi&rsquo;s 'Farzi', has now become the most-watched Indian web series of all time, with approximately 37 million viewers. Created by Raj and DK, it features Shahid in the role of a street-smart criminal who counterfeits money, while Vijay plays a cop.
As per a report by the Ormax Media, 'Farzi' took the top spot on the list of the most-watched original SVOD (Subscription Video on Demand) series in India this week. It overtook the Ajay Devgn&rsquo;s Disney+ Hotstar series 'Rudra' (35.2 million viewers), 'Mirzapur' season 2 (32.5 million viewers), Jeetendra Kumar&rsquo;s 'Panchayat 2' (29.6 million viewers), Pankaj Tripathi&rsquo;s Disney+ Hotstar series 'Criminal Justice' (29.1 million viewers) and Aditya Roy Kapur&rsquo;s thriller series, 'The Night Manager' (27.2 million viewers).

The first poster for Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi starrer &lsquo;Merry Christmas&rsquo; was released by Kaif on Instagram today. The poster shows a red coloured liquid spilling from two broken wine glasses.
In her post, Kaif also confirmed that the release of the much awaited thriller by Sriram Raghvan has been pushed for 2023. Katrina's post was captioned &lsquo;We wanted to release the film this Christmas&hellip;but there is a TWIST. See you in cinemas soon! #MerryChristmas.&rsquo; This is the first time Katrina will act with Vijay Sethupathi.
The film will be released in Hindi and Tamil languages.
Katrina also has Jee Le Zara and tiger 3 in pipeline.&nbsp;

The conversation between Vikram (Saif) and Vedha (Hrithik) is casual and impactful. Thankfully, the dialogues are not ‘filmy’ and help to further cement the storyline. The camaraderie, though, is unmissable.Hrithik Roshan’s performance further stabilizes the script. He is the soul of the film, although there is scope for improvement in diction consistency. Saif Ali Khan portrayed Vikram with utmost dedication.  Saif has always performed characters with grey shades with utmost brilliance, and that perception in the minds of the audience triggers inertia to accept him in the role of a righteous officer.
Rohit Sharaf is seen essaying the role of Vedha's brother. He does justice to what is offered. Sharib Hashmi is brilliant and fits in seamlessly. The script doesn’t offer Radhika Apte a role suiting her calibre but she manages to etch her name to the scenes offered.
Extra points to Pushkar and Gayatri for writing and directing it without burdening the script with unnecessary masala. The action scenes are a visual treat. The length of the film is one of its biggest drawbacks but the storyline and performances manage to keep the audience engaged.
For those who haven’t watched the original featuring R Madhavan (Vikram) and Vijay Sethupathi (Vedha), the Hindi remake makes for a good watch. For those who have relished the original Tamil film, there is hardly any incentive offered by the film but to overcome the perils of reading the subtitles. However, since mushrooming of OTT platforms, films like Vikram Vedha have performed far better on the platforms than on screens. Hopefully, Vikram Vedha would be able to surmount this challenge.

Pushkar and Gayatri initially wrote the film without having a cast in their minds. But after finishing the script, they felt Vijay Sethupathi was perfect for Vedha. Later, while narrating the script to the actor, the duo realised how similar he is to Vedha, in terms of walking style and mannerisms. Similarly, Pushkar and Gayatri wanted Madhavan to play Vikram, as there is righteousness in the role which only, he could pull off.

The publicist further added that the actor will be playing the antagonist only in SRK’s film and not in any other Telugu projects as it is being speculated.
On Saturday, PRO tweeted, ‘This is to clarify that #VijaySethupathi sir is doing a negative role only in #ShahRukhKhan sir’s Jawan at this point and that he is not playing a negative role in any other Telugu projects as is being speculated.’ 
‘Jawan’ also stars Nayanthara in a pivotal role. The next schedule of the pan-India film will begin towards the end of August in Chennai, according to the Pinkvilla report.

In the video, Fahadh Faasil can be seen firing a gun at the cue of Lokesh. After the shot, Fahadh asks in Malayalam, ‘What is next sir?’ Lokesh responds in Kannada, ‘Done’. At this, Fahadh says in Telugu, ‘Party leda Pushpa,’ which is his popular line from 'Pushpa: The Rise'. And Lokesh responds, ‘Aarambikalangala (let us begin)’, which is Kamal’s punchline in the movie.
It seems the filmmakers want to tell us that Vikram will be released simultaneously in all four south Indian languages.
