Malaika Arora&rsquo;s father, Anil Mehta, died by suicide on September 11, and the family is navigating a difficult time. Amid their grief, several Bollywood stars have paid their respects.
Vijay Varma has called on paparazzi to show some sensitivity, echoing a similar sentiment from Varun Dhawan.
Varma took to X, urging, &lsquo;Please leave the grieving family alone. It&rsquo;s already hard for them. Show some grace, media folks.&rsquo;
Earlier, Varun Dhawan posted, &lsquo;It&rsquo;s incredibly insensitive to point cameras at people who are grieving. Consider what they&rsquo;re going through. I know it's your job, but sometimes humanity should come first.&rsquo;
Salman Khan also visited Malaika Arora&rsquo;s family to offer his condolences.
Dressed in a navy-blue shirt and distressed jeans, Salman made a brief but respectful appearance.
This marks the first public reunion between Salman and Malaika since her divorce from his younger brother, Arbaaz Khan, in 2017.
Anil Mehta, Malaika&rsquo;s father, was cherished by his family and remembered as a gentle soul, devoted grandfather, and loving husband.
Regarding the incident, Mumbai Police reported that Anil Mehta jumped from the balcony of his residence in Bandra.
Mumbai Police have taken statements from Malaika, her sister Amrita Arora, and their mother. The police reported that Anil Mehta had called both daughters before disconnecting his phone. In their statements, Malaika and Amrita mentioned that their father had said, &lsquo;I am sick and tired.&rsquo; The family attempted to contact him after the call, but by then, Anil had already turned off his phone.
On September 11, Malaika Arora issued a heartfelt statement about her father's death, asking for privacy during this difficult time.
Her message read: &lsquo;We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our dear father, Anil Mehta&hellip; Our family is in profound shock and we kindly request privacy&hellip; We appreciate your understanding, support, and respect.&rsquo;
Malaika&rsquo;s friends, family, and colleagues have gathered around her, providing support as she faces this challenging period.

Actor Vijay Varma recently opened up about his skin condition - Vitiligo. At an event in Mumbai, the actor elaborated on how he has dealt with it over the years, given that he's in an industry where physical appearance does play a pivotal role. For the unversed, Vitiligo is a skin condition in which the pigment is lost from areas of the skin, causing whitish patches.&nbsp;

Speaking to Times of India, Vijay Varma said though he 'covered it up' during his movies, he didn't feel the need to do so during public appearances. However, he added that there was a time when his skin condition bothered him.&nbsp;
Vijay said, "See, I didn't make a big deal out of it. It is just a cosmetic thing, and it is not really anything that can change the course of your life. We make it a big deal because it is something which is out there, but I have never really made a big deal out of it. It used to worry me when I was an out-of-work actor. I would wonder if this would become an obstacle. But ever since I have been working and seeing a lot of success, it hasn't bothered me."
 Vijay further revealed, "I have covered it up for my movies because it just distracts, and I don't want my audience to look at anything else except for what I want to show them, so that is the reason I hide it. But for all my public appearances, for all these years, I have never bothered to cover it up. People these days are very intelligent, and I feel that today's generation has an innate sense of responsibility. I have never been spoken about loosely for my skin condition. Maybe if it was some other time, then this could have possibly become a topic of discussion."

On the acting front, Vijay was recently featured in Netflix's 'IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack'. The actor plays the role of a pilot in the series based on real-life events. According to the makers, the "six-episode series thrusts you into the nerve-wracking reality faced by passengers and crew trapped at 30,000 feet. With every moment steeped in tension, the series follows a relentless team in India racing against time, deciphering the hijackers' ominous demands, and fighting against the odds to ensure the safe return of everyone on board."
Directed by Anubhav Sinha, the show is based on the infamous 1990s hijacking incident that shook India. It also stars Arvind Swai, Dia Mirza, Patralekhaa, Amrita Puri, Kumud Mishra and Manoj Pahwa in prominent roles.&nbsp;

Several people have called out the Pune-based Film and Television Institute of India for claiming Payal as an alumnus after she won the Le Grand Prix at the Cannes Film Festival.

Gajendra claimed he was &lsquo;proud&rsquo; to be the chairman at FTII when Payal was studying there. Speaking with PTI, he said,
&lsquo;Congratulations to her and I feel proud that I was the chairman at the time when she was doing the course there.&rsquo;
In 2015, Payal was among the students protesting Gajendra Chauhan's appointment as FTII chairman, leading to her scholarship being revoked when she boycotted classes. However, when her short film &lsquo;Afternoon Clouds&rsquo; was selected for Cannes, FTII reversed its decision and supported her. Gajendra told PTI, &lsquo;That protest was not against me, it was against the director and the administration.&rsquo;
This year, Payal made history with her film &lsquo;All We Imagine As Light,&rsquo; which won a prestigious award at Cannes. It was the first time in 30 years that an Indian movie competed in the festival&rsquo;s main competition. Payal attended Cannes with her actors Chhaya Kadam, Divya Prabha, and Kani Kusruti.

Speaking about his relationship with Tamannaah Bhatia, Vijay Verma told GQ India, &lsquo;I am happy and madly in love with her.&nbsp;

Tamannaah Bhatia and Vijay Varma, who were seen together on screen for the first time in &lsquo;Lust Stories 2&rsquo;, recently confirmed their relationship and some people deemed it a &lsquo;publicity stunt&rsquo; to promote the Netflix anthology.
 Now, in a recent interview with GQ India, Vijay Varma addressed the speculation that his relationship with Tamannaah was a publicity stunt and shared, &lsquo;I think it&rsquo;s fairly understood now that we are dating each other. I am happy and madly in love with her. I call this my &lsquo;I&rsquo;ve ended my villain era and gotten into the romance era&rsquo; phase of life.&rsquo;
 In an earlier interview with Mojo Story, Tamannaah opened up about her relationship with her Vijay star and why she chose him as her partner. &lsquo;I cannot enter any equation where women are expected to compromise on their most basic feelings,&rsquo; she said.
 Tamannaah added, &lsquo;I&rsquo;m the happiest I have been. He is a wonderful human being and an equal partner. I think he has a lot of strong women in his life and I feel like that&rsquo;s what it takes&hellip;when you respect those strong women, you respect your woman as well.
And that&rsquo;s what I feel the younger generation needs to learn. We teach sons how to treat women instead of asking women how they should behave with men around them.&rsquo;

Gulshan had teased Vijay earlier too about his rumoured relationship with Tamannah. Vijay had shared the teaser video of &lsquo;Dahaad&rsquo; on social media and while fans spoke about the show in the comments section, Gulshan left a comment that read, &lsquo;Meri Tammannah toh tu tha&hellip; achcha dhokha diya hai tune mujhe. Thank God meri izzat nai luti&hellip; nai toh... hey Ram (You were my hope, you betrayed me. Thank God my reputation is still intact)&rsquo;.
&lsquo;Dahaad&rsquo;, directed by Reema Kagti and Ruchika Oberoi, will release on Prime Video on May 12.

He also talked about his experience of working with Alia and said, &lsquo;Very easy to work with, extremely sincere and professional. She is one of those actors who wouldn't do the same thing, so it's always something new that she brings in each take, so you are playing along. There's a lot of feeding off from each other, so she's really competent and she's the finest we have.&rsquo;
Sharing how he was extra conscious not to hurt her in scenes that required him to raise his hands, Vijay revealed, &lsquo;I remember because it was a physically powerful exchange, I wanted to make sure the other actor was not hurt or even felt wrong. I was very clear that I will come and grab your shoulder so be ready for this. That kind of thing was happening. Between the husband and wife, there aren&rsquo;t many funny moments but the drama beats are great, which we were feeding off each other incredibly. But yes, we discussed the choreography of the scenes so that our moves and moods reflect in the work that we were doing.&rsquo;

When asked why he prefers not to talk about his personal life, the actor said that he wants his work to speak rather than his personal matters.
Earlier, in an interview with Film Companion, Tamannaah Bhatia said that Vijay Varma is a person whom she cares about deeply and he&rsquo;s her happy place.
Tamannaah suggested that their love story started on the sets of 'Lust Stories 2'. 'I don&rsquo;t think you can get attracted to someone just because they are your co-star. I have had so many co-stars. I think if one has to fall for someone, feel something for someone it&rsquo;s definitely more personal, it&rsquo;s nothing to do with what they do for a living, I mean that&rsquo;s not the reason why this would happen,' she said.

Then, it became very easy for me to put all my guard down. With high achieving women, we have this problem, that we think we have to work hard for everything. When something is so simple and you don't have to walk on eggshells to just be yourself because I think in India we also have this that a woman has to change her entire life for someone.'
She concluded, 'If you have to find a partner you might have to physically move or do so many things that serve that person&rsquo;s understanding but I was like I have created a world for myself and here there&rsquo;s a person who actually understood that world without me doing anything. He's a person who I care about deeply and yeah, he&rsquo;s my happy place.'
