Along with medal wins in Rowing and Shooting, the Indian women's cricket team also assured a medal finish as the women in Blue defeated Bangladesh by 8 wickets with 70 balls remaining.&nbsp; Bangladesh won the toss and decided to bat first. But the ace Pooja Vastrakar came down heavily on the Bangla women as she picked 4 wickets restricting Nigar Sulatana's side to mere 51. The side was all out as Titas Sadhu, Amanjot Kaur, Rajeshwari Kaur and Devika Vaidya all got a wicket each.&nbsp; In reply, it was a cake walk for India. While Shafali Verma and Smriti Mandhana lost their wickets after scoring 17 and 7 respectively, Jemimah Rodrigues' 20 off 15 helped the Harmanpreet Kaur-led side become the first team to qualify for the final of the event.&nbsp;

With other batters struggling, Mandhana&rsquo;s knock was vital for the Women in Blue. Shafali Verma did share a 62-run stand with Mandhana, but it was the southpaw who did the bulk of scoring. While wickets tumbled at the other end, Jemimah&rsquo;s 12-ball 19 right at the end ensured India got past 150.
Defending a 156-run target, India reduced Ireland to 1/2 in the first over itself. But Gaby Lewis and Laura Delany then brought Ireland's innings back on track with an unbeaten 53-run stand.
Unfortunately for Ireland though, rain came along when they were 54/2 after 8.2 overs, five runs behind as per the DLS method.
And with the rain not relenting, the match was called off without any further play, sending India through to the semi-finals.

Shafali Verma and captain Kaur have been unable to convert their starts in the tournament so far while Jemimah Rodrigues will seek consistency after her failure against the West Indies. India will also be wary of the threat the English spin trio of Charlie Dean, Sophie Ecclestone and Sarah Glenn can pose for them.
Title contenders England, like India, are also unbeaten after two games and are best placed to qualify for the semifinals.

&nbsp;An unbeaten 67-run partnership for the fourth wicket between veteran all-rounder Nat Sciver-Brunt and captain Heather Knight helped England defeat the West Indies by seven wickets in an ICC Women's T20 World Cup Group B match here on Saturday.
The two England stalwarts took advantage of the below-par West Indies total of 135/7 to launch a concerted effort when they came together at the crease, finishing the match in the 15th over, with Sciver-Brunt scoring an unbeaten 40 and Knight remaining not out at 32.
While West Indies were not really off to a poor start after electing to bat, their batting floundered in the middle overs with no one able to give them the push in the death overs.
Skipper Hayley Matthews scored a quick-fire 42 (32 balls) at the top of the order, while Shemaine Campbelle made a laboured 34 as West Indies moved to a modest 69 for 2 at the start of the 11th over.
But just when the team wanted someone to give the scoreboard a boost after Matthews departed following a Sophie Ecclestone delivery thumping the West Indies opener's knee roll, there was no worthwhile partnership to guide the Caribbeans to a competitive total.
Sophie emerged the most successful bowler for England, taking three wickets for 23 runs in her four overs.
England were off to a confident start with opener Sophia Dunkley smashing an 18-ball 34 studded with four boundaries and a six, as she made her intentions clear. Though Danny Wyatt (11) and Alice Capsey (13) went cheaply, there was never a doubt about their supremacy.
Sciver-Brunt and Knight capitalised on a far-from-impressive West Indies bowling attack, putting it to the sword and smashing boundaries at will.
Sciver-Brunt smashed six boundaries and a maximum while her captain took just 22 deliveries on her way to an unbeaten 32, studded with four boundaries and a six.

&nbsp;India vice captain Smriti Mandhana is likely to miss the Women's T20 World Cup opener against Pakistan on Sunday as she is yet to recover from a finger injury she suffered during a warm-up game.
The 26-year-old opener injured her left middle finger while fielding during the warm-up match against Australia on Monday.
"She suffered an injury in the practice game. We can't say she is out of World Cup yet. But she could miss the Pakistan game," an ICC source told PTI.
The southpaw had batted at number three against Australia instead of her usual opening position. Her innings lasted only three-balls.
Mandhana had subsequently missed India's second warm-up game against Bangladesh on Wednesday.
Skipper Harmanpreet Kaur's fitness is also a concern. She had injured her shoulder during the final of the Tri-Series against South Africa last week.
"Body is fine. It will get better with rest," Kaur had said after the final.
However, the big-hitting middle-order batter did not bat in either of India's warm-up matches.
The 'Women in Blue' are clubbed alongside England, Pakistan, West Indies and Ireland in Group B.&nbsp;
