Are you fond of essential oils that smell great? If yes, then this one's for you. According to a study published in the journal 'Explore', the scent of rose oil may effectively reduce work stress. &nbsp;
Aromatherapy is often used during massages or even at homes in oil diffusers as it influences the brain and nervous system.&nbsp;
For the study, the team included 120 nurses who were divided into three groups based on oil scents: rose, lavender and other nonscented oils like sesame.&nbsp;
Researchers concluded that scented oils reduce sympathetic stimulations that in turn, lower stress. They also noted that rose scent has a positive effect on the nurses&rsquo; job stress as compared to other scents.&nbsp;

The quarterly survey by Future Forum found that employees in the US, UK, Japan, Australia, Germany and France working at workplaces flexible with time, place, are less likely to quit. When it comes to anxiety, you do realise the feeling of dread and uneasiness that comes with a crisis at work or in life. However, in high-functioning anxiety, you aren't held back at all in terms of work and life in major ways. 
In such a situation, a person might face restlessness, have trouble sleeping or unwanted thoughts, feel the heart pounding and face other uncomfortable symptoms of anxiety which aren't always that noticeable.&nbsp;
People with high-functioning anxiety are not the ones who crumble under pressure. Instead, they go an extra mile to meet deadlines, be overproductive and are always on their toes, but along with it, they are constantly anxious about their work and will go beyond expectations to solve any evasive problem by hook or by crook.

Therapists and clinicians have identified restlessness and insomnia among others, as the signs of high-functioning anxiety. After you've figured out the signs, a therapist or mental health professional can help in teaching the coping mechanism.&nbsp;
Experts also say that those who deal with high-functioning anxiety need to see what is important to them other than work. They should prioritize things that they enjoy rather than anxiety making them do things.&nbsp;

Just recently, a content moderator sued employer&nbsp;TikTok&nbsp;for &lsquo;severe psychological trauma&rsquo; on the job. This goes to show&nbsp;that our understanding of trauma needs to be broadened.&nbsp;&nbsp;
With&nbsp;7 in 10 employees reporting the pandemic to be the most stressful time of their entire professional career (Ginger Workforce Attitudes Report 2020),&nbsp;organisations can thrive only by learning from the models of trauma-informed organizations and trauma-informed leadership used in care professions.&nbsp;&nbsp;
Both leaderships and individual workers need to prioritise and promote inclusive behaviours, trust and transparency, peer support, collaboration, empowerment&nbsp;of&nbsp;choice&nbsp;and diversity awareness as part of the company culture.

A new study suggests keeping the camera on during video calls causes more work fatigue in employees.

According to a new study, turning the camera on during a virtual meeting increases Zoom fatigue; a feeling of running out of energy one day after the virtual meeting. The results of this study were published in the Journal of Applied Psychology.

After a four-week experiment involving 103 participants and more than 1,400 observations, researchers found that it is indeed more tiring to have your camera on during a virtual meeting.
During the experiment, people who had their cameras on reported more fatigue than those who had them turned off. The team also found that people using cameras were participating less than those not using them. The effects of Zoom fatigue were stronger for newer employees and women, researchers concluded.
