Why France is asking people to eat more cheese

The French Dairy Industry is asking people to eat more cheese after sales fell by almost 60 percent amid the Covid-19 pandemic. The industry is calling all citizens to fulfil their 'patriotic duty' and eat cheese in solidarity with the producers. They've launched a campaign called 'Let’s act for cheese' and shared that as the lockdown began, people let go of 'traditional cheese' and stocked up on essentials including milk, butter and cream instead.
