'Go to India': Nawaz Sharif's daughter to Imran Khan

Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday handed Opposition more ammunition against him after he reiterated his praise for India's 'independent foreign policy' and called it a nation with a 'great sense of honour'

His remarks made during his address to the nation ahead of the no-trust vote on Saturday did not go down well with Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the daughter of former Pakistan PM Nawaz Sharif.

Lashing out at Khan, she said the former cricketer should leave Pakistan and go live in India if he likes the country so much.

Imran Khan had said no superpower can force India to do anything against its interests, adding that the country is buying oil from Russia despite sanctions.

Khan has been using the 'foreign conspiracy' angle to build his argument against the no-confidence motion and his praise of India is being seen by analysts as juxtaposition of what he calls the neighbouring country's 'independent foreign policy' and 'foreign interference' in Pakistan.
