Houthis vow to continue attacks against Israel-linked ships in Red Sea

Iran-backed Houthis in Yemen on January 12 vowed to continue targeting Israel-linked ships in the Red Sea despite overnight air strikes by the US and the UK. The militant group's spokesman Mohammed Abdulsalam said on social media X that there was no justification for the US-Britain attack on Yemen as "there was no threat to international navigation in the Red and Arabian Seas. The airstrikes were ordered by Joe Biden, who said that it was in direct response to unprecedented Houthi attacks against international maritime vessels in the Red Sea.
