Imran Khan may have lost his charm in Pakistan’s parliament but the World Cup-winning captain still happens to be popular across the country.

The protests that were organised in several cities of Pakistan following his ouster as PM are proof of his popularity. The protests weren’t attended just by Pakistan’s ‘aam aadmi’ but also by several actors and social media celebrities and those who couldn’t attend the rallies physically tweeted in support of their ‘captain’.

Pakistani actor Mahira Khan, who also starred opposite Shah Rukh Khan in ‘Raees’, retweeted a video of the protest posted by Imran Khan and wrote that while no government is or was perfect, the rallies are proof that people of Pakistan don’t want history repeating itself.

Popular actor Sanam Saeed too retweeted the protest video and wrote’ Power of the People’.
