Irish woman's lie nailed with this Christmas picture, court declines her ₹7Cr accident compensation

An Ireland court dismissed a woman's insurance claim of ₹7 cr after she was found winning a Christmas tree-throwing competition.

Irish woman's lie nailed with this Christmas picture, court declines her ₹7Cr accident compensation

An Irish woman's 'lie' led to her rupees 7 crore insurance claim fall flat in a court as her picture while participating in a Christmas tree throwing competition and a video of she playing with her dog became a proof that she had faked an injury to claim the whooping compensation.

36-year-old Kamila Grabska had sued an insurance company, claiming that the injuries, which she allegedly suffered in a car accident in 2017, left her unable to work for five years.

Claiming the injury had made her incapable to play with her children, the woman also told the court that she was left with a disabling condition.

However, her story was bust her when the insurance firm showed a picture of her published in a national newspaper in which Kamila is seen winning a Christmas tree-throwing competition in 2018.

While dismissing the claim, the judge said, "It is a very large, natural Christmas tree, and it is being thrown by her in a very agile movement. I’m afraid I cannot but conclude the claims were entirely exaggerated. On that basis, I propose to dismiss the claim."

In her response, Kamila refuted that she has faked her injuries for the money, claiming that she was "trying to live a normal life," and despite experiencing the pain, she tried looking cheerful.

The court also viewed a video of her training her dog in a park for an hour. The court, ultimately, rejected her claim.
