Kabul: armed Taliban men patrol streets on roller skates

A video of Taliban forces patrolling Kabul's streets on skates has now gone viral on social media.

Kabul: armed Taliban men patrol streets on roller skates

Members of the Taliban were seen gliding through Kabul’s streets wearing roller skates. The armed men catapulted and launched each other onto a busy street while some held onto the armoured trucks.

Reports say the men who patrolled the streets on skates were part of the public security force, which answers to the Ministry of Interior.

The “amazing balance and body strength,” of the skating men was appreciated by a fellow member of the security forces. “It might be common in the world elsewhere, but for us, it was rare to see on the roads of Kabul,” a member told the Telegraph.

The authenticity of the unusual video was confirmed by Khalid Zadran, the spokesperson of Kabul’s police wings.

Social media users also reacted to the video. “They’re just spinning their wheels,” a user commented on the viral video.
