OpenAI whistleblower, Suchir Balaji, found dead in San Francisco

Suchir Balaji, a 26-year-old former employee of OpenAI, was found deceased in his San Francisco apartment on November 26th. Balaji, an Indian-origin computer scientist, was a vocal critic of OpenAI's business practices and had publicly accused the company of copyright infringement.

Balaji's death comes amidst a wave of lawsuits against OpenAI from authors, programmers, and journalists who claim the company illegally used their copyrighted work to train ChatGPT, its popular AI chatbot.
