After Indian Foreign minister tore into Pakistan at the United Nations with his 'epicentre of terrorism' and 'snake in the backyard' remark against Pakistan, its foreign minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has called Prime Minister Narendra Modi the "Butcher of Gujarat".

India and Pakistan both nuclear-armed neighbours have been engaged in a war of words at the United Nations.

Jaishankar's remarks came while addressing a group of journalists at the UN after his address. "My advice is to clean up your act and try to be good neighbour," he told reporters.

In response, Pakistani foreign minister Bilawal Bhutto said India sought to conflate Muslims and terrorists, in both countries.

He told Jaishankar that "Osama bin Laden is dead, (but) the Butcher of Gujarat lives and he is the prime minister of India".

Earlier this week, Jaishankar hit back at Zardari at the UN for raking up Kashmir issue.
