Tesla service center attacked with Molotovs and gunfire

In a concerning escalation of violence, multiple Tesla vehicles were set ablaze and shot at during an overnight attack at a Las Vegas service center, as reported by CNN.

This incident, which took place at the Tesla Collision Center, resulted in damage to at least five vehicles, with two fully engulfed in flames. The FBI is currently investigating, noting that the attack exhibits "some of the hallmarks" of terrorism.

Authorities revealed that the suspect employed Molotov cocktails and fired gunshots at the vehicles.

Additionally, the word "resist" was spray-painted on the front doors of the facility. The FBI's Joint Terrorism Task Force is collaborating with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department to identify those responsible for the attack.

In a Tuesday news conference, Assistant Sheriff Dori Koren of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department stated, "This was a targeted attack against a Tesla facility. Officers discovered several vehicles on fire, as well as the word ‘Resist' spray-painted on the front doors of the business."

Surveillance footage from the scene shows vehicles erupting in flames as a suspect dressed in black moves between the cars, occasionally reaching into a bag.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and the fire department managed to extinguish the fires before they reached the vehicles' batteries.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk condemned the attack, describing it as "terrorism" and denouncing the level of violence as "insane and deeply wrong."

In a statement, he asserted, "Tesla just makes electric cars and has done nothing to deserve these evil attacks."

This incident aligns with a troubling trend of assaults on Tesla facilities and vehicles across the United States, including instances of vandalism, graffiti, and shootings.

President Trump has condemned the spate of attacks, advocating for them to be classified as domestic terrorism.

US Attorney-General Pamela Bondi has similarly denounced the recent attacks on Tesla properties, characterizing them as "nothing short of domestic terrorism." She emphasized the severity of the situation, stating, "We will continue investigations that impose severe consequences on those involved in these attacks, including those operating behind the scenes to coordinate and fund these crimes."

The investigation remains active as authorities strive to bring those accountable to justice.
