U.S. President Donald Trump has issued a stark warning about the proximity of "World War III" but reassured that his leadership would prevent its occurrence.

During an address at the Future Investment Initiative Institute Priority Summit in Miami, Trump emphasized his efforts to swiftly resolve global conflicts and restore peace, underscoring his commitment to avoiding widespread loss of life.

Trump highlighted the ongoing crises in the Middle East and Ukraine, expressing determination to bring these conflicts to a close. "I'm moving quickly to end wars and settle conflicts around the world- I want peace," he declared, warning that the prospect of World War III is alarmingly close.

He took a swipe at President Joe Biden's administration, suggesting that had it continued for another year, a global war might have erupted. "Now it's not going to happen," he stated confidently.

Trump also praised Saudi Arabia for facilitating recent negotiations between the U.S. and Russia concerning the Ukraine conflict, calling the discussions a "big step." However, Trump took a critical tone against Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, whom he described as "a modestly successful comedian" and "a dictator without elections," suggesting a shift in U.S. perspective toward favoring Moscow in the ongoing conflict.

This comes amid a public spat between Trump and Zelensky on social media. Zelensky accused Trump of perpetuating disinformation and aiding Russian President Vladimir Putin.

In defense of not inviting Ukraine to the Saudi Arabia talks, Trump stated, "Zelensky has done a terrible job-his country is shattered." He emphasized the necessity of engaging with all parties to achieve a ceasefire and restore stability.

Trump expressed his hope for an imminent ceasefire and the reestablishment of stability across Europe and the Middle East.
