UK climate activists stick themselves to Speaker's chair

Activists of the Extinction Rebellion environmental group protested inside the United Kingdom Parliament by gluing themselves to Speaker's chair in the House of Commons.

They accused the politicians of 'staying out of touch' over cost of living crisis and climate emergency.

In a now viral video, the activists can be seen holding placards demanding the government 'let people decide' what is good for the country.

A group of five protesters including women can be seen echoing sentiments of the common people over the current economic crisis.

Three of the protesters had booked a tour of the Parliament which is currently not in session

The extinction group is typically known to protest on climate change issues. The latest stunt is suggestive of its 'September plans' of more such protests.
