UK PM Rishi Sunak's 'erasable ink pen' sparks controversy

Britain's Prime minister's pen has sparked a fresh row after he was spotted working on government documents with a fountain pen having erasable ink, the Guardian reported.

The Indian-origin Prime minister has been seen using the disposable fountain V pen with erasable ink 'regularly', especially during official meetings, Guardian said.

He has been spotted using the pen on official documents for writing notes or signing them. Sunak was also seen using the same disposable fountain pen at international summits including a European political community meeting.

However, amid the concerns that Sunak's writing could be erased in case of probes, Downing Street has defended the PM and said, the pen in question is provided by civil service and widely used by officials in the British government.

The leader has never used the erase feature and he would never do.
