Yemen's Houthis Vs Saudi coalition: two ballistic missiles targeting Abu Dhabi intercepted

The United Arab Emirates intercepted two ballistic missiles targeting Abu Dhabi early Monday, its state-run news agency reported.

The WAM news agency said on Twitter that missile fragments fell harmlessly over the capital, Abu Dhabi.

No one immediately claimed responsibility for the attack.

The attack came a week after Yemen's Houthi rebels claimed an attack on the Emirati capital that killed three people and wounded six others.

UAE, is a Saudi Arabia ally and member of the Saudi-led coalition fighting the Houthis.

The retaliatory Saudi air strikes against rebel Houthi targets in Yemen have been deadly - with aid agencies saying one attack alone killed dozens of people when a detention centre in Saada was targeted.
