Bill Gates warns that the 'we could be entering the worst part of the pandemic' as he took to Twitter to announce he is cancelling most of his Christmas plans due to the rapidly spreading Omicron variant.

The variant which is now over 73% of all new cases in the US will be soon be in every country in the world says Gates as he predicts that it will hit home for all of us as close friends of his tested positive recently as well.

The fear of the unknown is what makes the vast spreading virus concerning, the the billionaire however believes the current wave of the pandemic will be over by March of next year but also predicts that the coming 3 months could be bad for the outbreak.

Meanwhile the World Health Organization says Omicron cases are doubling every 1.5 to 3 days as UK reports over 90,000 new Covid cases and Spain records its highest daily number of new Covid-19 cases since start of pandemic.
